Hi this is my first proper grow, indoors.
Started 4th Nov and have lots of white pistles growing.
Wondering whether to trim some bottom fan leaves as they have brown tips and are shading other branches and Wondering when to change light schedule to 12/12

If the plants are 5 weeks old and show signs of sex, you can switch to flowering. Wait 21 days into flowering and defoliate medium to large fan leaves.

I agree with Outdoorsman. You can safely make the switch if the plants are showing sex.

I usually do some defoliation the day before I switch the light cycle. Plants tend to explode with growth in the first few weeks after the switch (during the stretch phase) so removing those leaves you mentioned shouldn’t be a problem. They will probably grow back within the first week of flower.
