First time doing hydroponics DWC5 gallon

So this is my first time using a Hydro bucket and it’s a 5 gallon and plant is going on 10 days old but still really small and hasn’t routed through yet. I think I made the mistake of getting too big of a size bucket that holds the pellets because I would’ve thought it would already have had the roots not going to getting the newts any advice would help greatly

What strain are you growing? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg?
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor?
Are you using nutrients? Which ones? How much?

My advice is use one of these once the roots are established then move it to the 5 gallon. I am using pebbles and Rockwool. The leaves aren’t looking so good. I would get it out of that huge pot.
