You should. Its definitely better for the roots to grow straight down when geminating (so I’ve been told via youtube).

When do you think the right time to plant the seed is? The root hasnt grown any in the past 6 hours that i can see. Its about as long as the seed its self almost and is pressed against the shell

I just put some root fungai on it a few mins ago.

I like to wait for mine to have a tap root the length of seed or slighlty longer before planting but i have had to plant 2 seeds that just barely had a taproot and they survived just fine so id say by tomorrow at latest you should be good to plant. Im sure there are other ways of doing it and others may chime in and share there exp

Im trying to put off planting as long as i can since i dont have ph up and down yet. That comes in the mail friday and im a little worried im gonna have to plant without ph’ing my water

If your able to check the PH of the water your using and if it’s above 6.2 or 7.0 you’ll be fine until Friday…
I’ve always planted a few hours after I noticed the tap root , all I do is take an ink pen cap and insert it in the middle of the pot and gently cover it up and place a dome over it.
My hole is only as deep as the line I’m pointing to:

Awesome!! I’ll go get some spring water and plant her

Keep in mind that the longer that root grows the more delicate procedure getting it into soil becomes. I soak my seeds in a glass of water for 12 hours after roughing up the edges with fine grit sandpaper and from there they go straight into a coco jiffy puk. I broke a few trying to do the paper towel way and said fark this im going back to how we used to do shit lol

Yeah i think ill soak my seeds first next time too. It seems better for germination

I soak until it sinks then paper towel until the first sign of tap root then straight to soil.
Just have to make sure your soil is soft enough for seedlings.

I just don’t like handling them once that tap root pops that’s why i skip the towel. The puk does the same job but then can just be planted straight into the pot.

@Papakat420 Im using happy frog for soil but i heard it lacks certain things the plant needs

Since your doing a photo I think FF will be soft enough for seedlings and then transfer to a bigger pot with different soil if you want.
Photo’s have more time to recover from transplanting than auto’s , you want to start auto’s in their final pot and don’t transfer them. Their cycle is kinda to short to recover.

I put the rooted seed in a plastic cup with a sandwich bag over it and rubber band around it. I have the light at 250 ppfd currently. Right now im trying to get humidity up to 80% in the tent just to see if i can for went it sprouts

Heres an update pic. The soil still looks wet even after a couple days not watering

ok Hello, you must have been told what to get and use?
how did you get the info to use those products?

you want the light much much closer to the plant and directly over the pot, dim lvl 30% 24inch above the seedling. After a month, adjust the hight and Increase intensity to 50% when stretching occurs, adjust the light to Maintan 18 inch through veg @ 60% dim and when in flower Max Dim power and have light 12 -14" above the canopy.

Honey Pur Honey or Alovera Pure from a plant, are the best root hormones on earth. Nothing compares to them.

I always dig down 4 inch center of pot, add 2 tblsp honey or 1 tblsp Alovera, Back fill, put my whoe for root in from the top with a Wire, set the root In to the whole, Back fill 1 inch above the seedling seed, use eye dropper for watering for 1st week. when the Root grows Down the 4 inch, it will meet the Root Hormone ( honey or alovera ) and get a super boost for root growth. You know its Hit the honey when the 1st set of leaf spread outwards at a rapid pace to the edge of the pot. 1-2 weeks… Then I soak the pot 5.6 ph distilled water, test ro and go from there.

Fox farm is a horrible manufacturer comparsd to a simple cheap PR MOX ORGANIK coco formula.
then just nutes as required at 1/8 or 1/2 dose.
the pro mix organik has everything you need with coco and substrate micros all in 1.

hope this helps.

Ludicrous Nutes

Foop nutes

those are the best on market for a decent price

Thank you for your help!

I personally use the FF trio plus Calmag and getting great results from it. But it looks like your missing something with your stalk being purple like that.

What are you growing in? This is happy frog. I have cal mag and the trio nutes but havent used them since she’s only a week old

I’m using a custom mix basically clean very little nutrients in it so I have to start feeding sooner. Your plant looks healthy maybe it will grow out of it , but something to keep an eye on. Just normally that coloring is a sign of magnisum deficiency but if your using HF I would not do any fertilizer at least until veg starts , because there should be enough in it already.
I would also only mist it and if necessary just around the edge of the cup. But they don’t need alot of water in the begining.
