So I ordered a grinder off eBay and I was expecting something more like the 2nd photo, I have bowls that hold more. It is cute but the 1" diameter, some people say size matters, bow chicka wow wow!

I gave up on the ‘grinders’ and just use my old fashioned coffee/spice (cooking spice) grinder.

Please tell me if this is wrong, but it is powered and works a heck of a lot faster. (and it doesn’t gunk up)

I like your box, what is the key for?

That is my first grinder, trusty little 2" model. That spike pattern is the best IMO but you only see it on acrylic models today. Would love a 4 piece 3" hand grinder all metal like that one well without the plating too.

The key is my key to the flower room. I never locked but it’s mostly their to draw questions.

The box is something that I think a family member made in the day, I just sanded it, stained the inside, had some stains and cleared it. Here is a before and after.

Don’t have the proper tools to press in the hardware so it’s not as tight as it should be.

That box cleaned up nicely; well done.

I have a metal grinder, but my hands were damaged in the military and trying to grind through a few ounces and my hands hurt. Mine gets all gunked up and does not have that nice spike patter n (I agree, it looks like that style would work better). Looked at some ‘powered’ canna grinders and gosh they resembled my coffee/cooking spice grinder…

Best grinder I’ve ever had and the only one that I haven’t completely trashed in less than a year.

Ive been using one of these for the last couple of years and I love it. 4 piece build makes it easy to keep clean

I got sticker shock, but a scratch and dent version may ban an option.

They are pricey but they are worth it considering all the other “last grinder you’ll ever need” purchases that I’ve made and thrown away in a year. These things are like tanks, I just wish they made a 4 or 5 inch grinder.

Just got one similar in a silver. This is my gripe and why it’s so hard to find decent gear most of the time. The markets are flooded with bad designs. Crackadoo is thrilled and I suspect that he has no clue why I would think mine is junk.

The grifters that make this junk know stoner will fall for shinny most of the time.

Thanks to CNC machines nearly all metal grinder work poorly today. It’s not even an improvement over the really old school wooden nail types in function IMO. It’s not that you can’t make incredible stuff with some CNC setups but they just make 2d cuts and doesn’t produce the best shapes.

With this model specifically and I bet it applies to all similar hand cranks.

The crank should allow for more torque, not the case vs just your hand which you can’t do with this model. So when the crank breaks it’s replacement time. The lever is too short and fragile, impingement design is prone to locking up like ALL CNC made grinders, it’s the 2d cut in needs a 3d taper.

More over it’s an very light and we don’t even know if it’s a food safe alloy.

My old school 2" I fill to the max and it grinds easy unless really gummy. None of the CNC made grinders I’ve tried can do that, not even close. It’s only the ones like my old one that are cast. Today I’ve only found resin design like that in size bigger than 2".

It’s the tapered shape of the spikes that allows that them to work better with flower that isn’t overly dry.

I got lucky and found this one a couple years ago in a local head shop It’s great the holes are the perfect size for bluntz or cigarillos. I don’t grind anything until I use it . It does get gunky after about a 1/2 oz but a gentle cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush…good as new and ready to go again. It’s a never ending cycle 2-3 times a month.:grin::grin:

Nothing wrong with my old school one. This is a want for larger version of that in a modern 4 pieces design.

Can you pack that one full and still grind?

I just put 3.5g worth of nugs in my old school 2" it took more effort to close than than to twist. That my benchmark.

Mine is actually concave so everything goes towards the bottom center , I usually do about 2.5-3g each time just enough for a couple bluntz. But I have room for more…it came with a screen in the middle section but it kept getting clogged so I took it out and been fine since. The kief collects like crazy on the sides and bottom to…great add to a bong :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s not Friday…but looking to see if anybody else see’s a bong?

I got it originally for seedling sprayer…but thinking about ordering another one so I can have both:rofl::rofl::rofl::thinking::thinking::thinking:
