Hi
First time trying to grow cannabis. I randomly sprouted 10 seeds bit 2 died. The other 8 are thriving well. I know its a bit early but based on these images, is it possible to identify the gender yet?
Thank you!

Hello! I think it’s too early because I can’t see any pistils yet.
Can’t tell yet.
Oh bummer … will wait another couple of weeks then… hopefully
Cheers and thanks!
It will be sooner than a couple more weeks.
They aren’t white. You will know. Patience grasshopper.
Lol… I germinated them in the first week of June. Day by day waiting for them to start flowering is torture
Based off plant structure I’d say it was female but the only sure fire way to really tell is waiting until you see balls or stigmas.
Will growing outdoors in pots at the balcony take longer? Its been more than 8 weeks since germination yet still no obvious signs except more fan leaves. From 3 fans leaves to 9 fans now.
Depends where you live and when your fall/winter months roll in. I live in MA. And plants start to preflower end of july beginning of august. Outdoor your plants know when the cold days are coming so they start to flower when they sense they dont have much time left (2-3 months) which has its pros & cons one pro being you can start plant early spring and get couple months veg out the deal and one con is if you start late you have little veg time. Once your days start getting less than 15 hrs of daylight youll start seeing the transformation (im getting 14 hrs 43mins daylight and plants pistils starting to appear) some varieties will start to bloom when getting less than 14 hrs of daylight but most will bloom on a 14.5/9.5 schedule when outdoors
I am growing them in a tropical country so its perpetually sunny throughout the year except occasional rain
Hello Vee! I just read that you are in a tropical country. In that case, if your plants are auto-flowering, they will start showing their sex when they have grown enough. But if they are photoperiodic, they need twelve hours of darkness in all the flowering stage. Otherwise, they will only continue to grow.
Yes those little white hairs are this pistils. Those indicate plant is female. Sometimes can end up being a male but rare occasions but still good to keep an eye out for any ball sacks just in case
It’s a girl! It’s a girl!
Updates: I planted 8 random seeds from random friends who gave me over the years for insurance and all 8 ended up to be girls
