Grow light recommendations for 4x4 tent

That pretty much goes with anything. People tend to buy what is easiest to get, which in most cases produced in the region. Shipping costs is another part of it.

So about $500 US. I don’t know German so don’t know the coverage.

Hi @DOROTHY, looks like you are getting some great guidance from everyone.

@anon81552836, your answers are all spot on and detailed, many thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Everyone will have a preference, so I will chime in with mine
I will only mention the lights that I own. I spent about 6 months comparing lights before buying them. I was looking for the best PAR/PPFD map (Even coverage) and also considered the cost of running them (efficiency). I ended up settling on the Mars Hydro SP3000. When I bought them, they were twice the price as they are now, since they were new to the market. These lights are dimmable, and you can daisy chain them together. One of them is ideal for a 2x4 (in fact it is too much light without adding co2) and 2 of them are ideal for a 4x4.

Good luck on your search. Migro lights are also quite efficient I hear.

I have a 4x4. But, only use half the tent. So i think there is good value in buying 2 separate 2x4 flower coverage lights instead of 1 4x4 light. It also helps with cost too if you dont want to spend so much at once. It left me the ability to buy another light later to max out the space if i choose. Another thing to consider, maybe i should have just bought a 2x4 tent instead. Lol

I know I would never buy those lights. But I like the look of them. They look like a tool of an alchemist or something. There are two european companies that are I really can recommend first is Sanlight. Because of there Dimmer.

Thay are Austrian I think…

And Greenception. Because they have a dimmer for each LED color, so you really make your own light spectrum. And they do a lot of research in light spectrums and claime, that they are able to manipulate the plant’s in a way that they are eating the nutrients faster or making them immune to bugs and flies.

I think they are the most common brands in Europe. They are what Marshydro, Viparspectra and maybe Spider Farmer is for North America.

Hi @anon81552836, @ELI @NicoZ I are looking into the contest guidelines, where to post, ect.

Will also clarify with regards to sharing your YouTube or other YouTube channels, I do not think there is any issues with that. Could simply make a post in the Growing category. We will circle back.

1000 watt MH and 1000 watt HPS. You can pull a few lbs with these lights in a 4x4 tent. Will need to take heat into consideration but i have tried many, many lights and ole tried and true HID lights still produce the best cannabis for the dollar amount spent on lighting

This might be true, but the price for electric might be a issue.

Yeah. I feel like with the price of electricity led is the way to go. Hid im sure might give better results, im just not sure with the extra heat and more power cost is worth it.
