Grow Log is Inadequate

  1. I have uploaded my grow log via desktop as I am still unable to insert photos or links from the app. So that is still a problem for me.
  2. Secondly, when I view my grow log via desktop, I am not seeing all the data I have logged into the app.
  3. I will list problems/issues I am having within that app one at a time.
  4. From the desktop version (website) I am unable to access my trees and grow logs. Is this by design or am I missing something?

Home:
A). Upon opening the app with the home icon highlighted, I can see the environment log from this morning and the calendar at the top. I believe I should be able to see all environment logs here and scroll down through them.
B). From this same page if I scroll through the calendar and select a day when I have logged actions, I can see those actions including all nutrient information such as the exact ml of each nutrient I used and the # of cups of water, etc. However, this data is not showing up in the grow log on the website. This information should also be included in the scroll along with the environments logs. I should not have to select a day on the calendar to discover what I did that day. I should be able to scroll down from today to yesterday to the day before, etc…

From the highlighted “trees” icon I can see all my trees.
A). When I select a particular tree, I can see the environment log for today only. I should be able to see all the environment logs for that tree, as well as all data input for that tree, and scroll down through them as well as all instant actions I logged in previous days for that tree. I should not have to go to the calendar and pick a day to discover what I did that day. I should be able to scroll down and see what I did yesterday, and then the day before, and the day before that, etc., and the dates should be included with that information.
B). After having chosen a tree I wish to look at, I can see the calendar above. However, I cannot expand the calendar in order to see the entire month. It only shows the current week. I think one should be able to see the entire month on this screen.

From the highlighted environments icon I can see the environments I have.
A). Why aren’t all the environment logs also included here to scroll down through? Makes no sense. The environment/s that are listed here just sit here and never change. Pointless!

I recommend you write down all the problems one at a time as you re-read this post and be sure to fix each problem one at a time. I believe you have been aware of the problem of not being able to upload photos and links from within the app for quite some time now. I think you should fix that problem asap. I am on here everyday, and I have not seen any changes, updates, or improvements since I began using the app. What are you doing? Thank You.

Hey @Outdoorman thank you for the message and the feedback.

I’ll take it one by one if I can:
2) That is troubling and we saw a couple of issues where that we are working on fixes asap.
4) You can’t (for now) login from the Growlogs part to load information but I assure you we are working on connecting everything as much as possible without forcing anyone to share any more information that they want.

To the issues listed:
From Home
A) Yes, you should be able to see it, it’s all on us. Working on it, sorry
B) We tried that and it felt VERY confusing for a lot of people. Mainly the issue was around “If on this screen I see a day, why whould I see any other day?” But I see your point, it would be similar to the Growlog in that sense in your view, where all the information is scrolling down like the old Facebook timeline. All this feedback is relayed to the guys also so @Dani_Kim can think of new UX possibilities.

From Tree List
A) Similar to the previous B point. Again fair point.
B) Monthly calendar is something we are trying to do actually, never found a natural way to do it. Again something Dani will look at.

Environment View
A) Similar to the previous, I feel, and you can correct me if I am wrong, that you want other design intention behind how we try to look at “daily calendar” views. By that I mean, that we show you one day at a time, and you want to access more data all at the same time, similar to the Growlog Timeline.

I am not against anything you said, it is always insightful to get this quality of feedback and it helps us understand the point of view of users, power users, casual users, and all that. I would group you in power users, which is great because sometimes we do not get a lot of feedback from this group.

Once again thank you for the feedback, its great and hopefully we can build a bridge between what you need, what we have and make everyone happy.
Some cool stuff is coming and we are hopeful it will be great for everyone.

Kind regards
