Grow tent air exchange

I went ahead and orded the ac infinity 6inch pro kit.

Im planning to get this set-up as a exhaust so the carbon filter can remove the flower smell from leaving the tent. My main question is how do you guys and girls filter the air coming in? So that its clean air and not dirty air hitting the plants. Another inline fan and filter? Or just a filter without a fan? Or nothing.

Im interested in seeing what you guys and girls got set-up in regards to air flow.

This is my intake it’s a 4" :

I just use a piece of cloth just enough to keep bugs out around the outside in unless I’m drying the it’s connected to that with a passive air flow into the dry area.
The only difference in my exhaust is I’m using a 230 cfm instead of a 195 cfm.
I had a slight smell but that was because of the way I had it set up , if both rooms where sealed better I wouldn’t notice any smell. That’s why I’m upgrading to actual tents.

Yeah. Im thinking about maybe a cloth banded to a 4 or 6 inch tunnel might work. I could just wash it weekly to keep it clean.

I grabbed some 75micron mesh off ebay and stuck it over the vent that was in my tent. Cost me about $10 for a couple of square metres. I use passive intake rather than a fan though

To clean it i hit it with compressed air from the inside of the tent

Is it just to keep the smell down or is it beneficial to the plants, legal here and my nearest neighbor is about a mile away so i dont do anything about the smell lol i kinda like it

They also help with regulating temp and humidity is inside the tent. Not much but sometimes it’s enough.

Mostly to keep smell down. Im in a neighborhood. But, im interested in it also so i can have it semi sealed off so i can filter the air in also. So its cleaner. An open air tent is fine because you are getting fresh air but its dirty. Im tired of having to bud wash after each cycle. If you have controllers it can also help keep heat down a few degrees. Also humidity.

I use the vents at the bottom of my tent that are screened for fresh air exchange. I have the ac infinity 8" fan and filter so it keeps negative pressure, and I can keep adjusting the vents if needed.

If you want to filter the air coming in and got the room , I’ve seen people take a plastic tub and a standard size air filter , either regular or HEPA. Place the filter at an angle and run you intake through a hole under the filter then cut a hole in the lid to let the filtered air into your grow area.
You would still need the material in the outside but you could probably get away with using just panty hose :rofl::rofl::rofl::shushing_face::shushing_face::shushing_face::shushing_face::shushing_face::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: for that if you wanted either way:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

So. I got my 6inch pro fan and 69 pro controller that i posted above in post. Come to realize that my light, humidifier and heater cant connect with uis. They are just a normal plug. So i looked online and for 1 plug its $20. So, I’d need to spend another $60 for 3 uis plug outlets. That seems expensive!! Holly cow. Im just gonna continue to use my other controller like before. Then use the ac infinity controller to just control the fan.
