Hey all! Anyone in here having issues with your roommate(s) due to your at home growing? How have you managed it?

Really I don’t know. In my mind, it’s about appeasing everyone. Unless you’re in prohibition land and shouldn’t be growing it. I wouldn’t let anyone know, if that was the case.
But if it’s legal, just talk to them about it and see how they feel about it. Maybe a little incentive is all it would take. Maybe show them what the setup would look like, explain the carbon filter is for odor control. Tell them you’ll also get a decent air purifier for your room. That’s how I talked my wife into it and zero smell comes out of that room. I also have the foam things that seal the gap under the door

Bottom line . . . if you even have to ask such a question, you know the answer . . . you need a different roommate or a different place to grow.

While they are sleeping place a few grams of coke (in seperate baggies) in there pockets then wake them up and cause an arguement on purpose draw out the drama for a few minutes then call the cops on them stating they sell drugs in your place and now they are forcing you to grow weed for there dreams of being big time drug dealers. Then when the cops come and search them BAM!! Problem solved. Or just watch them while they sleep and breath heavily when they wake up and catch you (gripping a pillow in your hands hightens the suspense) after a few times of this they should let ya be and if all else fails just talk it over with them (roofie them with edibles prior to talk) best of luck bud and sorry about your situation

Gee, that is a good question.
I guess if they are paying part of the utilities then it technically isn’t just yours (indoor growing); they are paying part of the cost. In this case, sharing would be appropriate.
But, if you have other skills; cooking… maybe you can offer another type of support in exchange for their tolerance and leaving you alone to your hobby.
Then again, I get random bug spraying dudes hitting me up for bud. I guess I could try to recoup my expenses by selling, but it is not a relationship I wanted.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. (my luck I would get home one day to find the entire grow just gone, and the room mates with it.)

Maybe I am a realest but I guess the best fix to the situation would be to live by yourself lol idk just a thought… or use a tent keep it concealed get a filter to filter out the smells if that is a issue… if theft is the worry then you are living with the wrong people

In any situation, the more people that know, the more risk that brings.
If you’re in a prohibition location, hard no. Even if they’re “cool with it”, all it takes is one person to get mad about something, or talk too much to someone, or… or… And then you have a huge target on your back.
Even if in a legal location, you still have the human factor (malice, stupidity, etc), magnified by legal proximity (roommate after all) to your grow.
I’m not saying don’t trust anyone ever, but it should be an exception, not the norm.
