Harvest check list tips?

Plan to harvest on 16/17th

How do i know I’ve flushed long enough if done correctly

Tricomes milky asf not amber yet

Hang time ? Dark tent filter and fan on

Cure time ? Dried buds. In air tight glass jar ?

Thanks in advance

Assuming you’ve watered twice a week, I think 4 flushes should be good. As far as drying and curing, I’m not sure there is really a difference. If you hang them you want the temps around 60-65 and humidity around 35-45%. Two of mine dried in six days and were probably too dry. I got worried about the other two and processed them. I think those were probably a little wet. I’ve heard different ways of doing it, such as putting them 6" deep in a brown bag and keeping it mostly closed. I’ve heard jars are best but you’ll need a lot of them and you risk mold. I think the Brown bag or a partially opened box is the best unless you have a cryo machine. I’m interested to hear what others have to say on this. Moreover if you hang them, I heard you want a dim light on (don’t know why) and air circulation.

ive watered 4 times usual feed cycle just using water and twice i used double the amount water to get large run off

i cut bud off and left in top of light vent grassy plant smell from it assuming when dried the weed smell comes back

got told once dried after been hanging 6-10 days enough that branches snap not fold … deBud the branches and fill air tight jar and leave for anything up to 1 month to increase potency opening jas Once a day for 20/30mins to air them

The end of this month will be my first time drying/curing indoor but I’ve had 4 runs with outdoor and this is the best method I’ve used so far and ill use this method with my indoor too. Cut the branches off the stalk and hang them for 6-10 days until they snap with very little bent and some fibers attached still and put them in a closed cardboard box for 1 day and gently turn the box over (upside down) every 6 or so hours (to give the bottom of the box a chance to dry) and check them at 24 hours once they snap clean and feel a little crisp on the outside choose a med size bud that you’ll keep for your self and smash it between your fingers and watch it when you release the pressure of it rises back up slightly like a sponge thier ready to hit the jars if it compacts and stays stuck together its not ready, or if it turns to powder you dried too long, and always burp the jars once or twice a day for 15 minutes for 10 days then seal em up and wait 3 weeks and they are stanky and sticky n ready to smoke! its worked for me so far and everything I’ve jarred smells fantastic after 4 weeks, also very sticky

I’ve also heard you want to aim for 12-15% moisture content after 7 days in the jars for super sticky buds

Hang time:

I prefer to dry over a 2 week period of between 10-14 days. Ideally closer to 14 minimum. My longest being 16 days. Keeping my humidity around 50%. This works well for me and I haven’t had any problems. I can’t say if this is the best way but I have never gone longer/shorter than what I mentioned.

I hang my plants on a coat hanger, lights off, exhaust fan on, oscillating fan but not pointed directly at plants. I’m lucky where I live and I don’t need to use any humidty/temp control for drying. Otherwise I would have those going too. Instead of using a dim light I leave my tent zipper open along the top seam. Not sure it makes much difference tho.

A cryo machine would be really cool! They seem to be getting popular but I often default to the proven old school methods. Not saying cryo isn’t proven, I just don’t know anything about it.

Cure time:

Glass jars for me, 80% ish full, and open once a day to refresh the air. Minimum I go is 2 weeks. The longest I have gone was 8 weeks and I took weekly samples for myself and a couple good friends. We all thought that batch was it’s best after 6 weeks of curing but I really don’t know for sure.

Since my humidity hovers around 50% I tend to wet trim my harvest because I worry the additional moisture from the fan leaves will raise my rH and cause mold if I dont. If my humidity was closer to 40 I would probably leave them until the plants dried.

That is correct, the branches snap not fold. One thing you can do is grab a bud from one of the branches, and try to pull it out, if it snaps then it is ready, if you see like a tail that keeps grabbing to the stem, then is not ready.
It usually takes between 7 to 10 days depending on the humidity of the place, the last feeding time, if the buds are big or small.
Air circulation is not that important, but it is key to control the humidity the buds don’t dry too fast. I usually hang them on a clothesline and cover it with something dark, I don’t have fan on, just the curtains slightly open for some air to pass but not too much light.
You’ll be fine with two flushes, although 4 times a week is a lot.
Wait for at least 10 to 15% amber before cutting, if you have a magnifying glass even better, you’ll need that.

About the curing process. I do it for about 3 weeks. Glass jar if possible, open the jar for about 15minutes every 4 hs for the first week, then you can open every day or every 2 days, and so.
