Heat problem

So im thinking a couple of things here i was wondering about the idea of using a heat mat what you think

Can you provide any more context here? We are assuming a heat mat for germination ? Or heat pad for a sore back?

Use a heat mate for seeds only, it will burn the roots after the seeds sprout. Good luck

Sorry to use this thread here but didn’t wanted to open a new one, I think it may fit in here too, so…

…Quick question: how do you keep the temperatures down in your grow box during summer? I’m already struggling with 29–30°C and I’m planning to harvest in about 2 weeks. I wanted to start the next grow right after that, but I’m already worried about the summer heat.
Do you think something like this could help?

Ah yea, that here are my two girls:

It would cool things down but you are going to get a huge rise in humidity at the same time so its going to be a double edged sword. If you can cool down the room that the tent is in it will help a bit. Keeping tent unzipped during lights on time can also help if the smell isn’t a concern.

I also deal with high temps in the summer time when i was growing in tents and tried a few amazon products like an artic cooler (useless btw) and ultimately had to leave tent unzipped during lights on with a fan blowing as much heat out as i could and closed everything up about 5 mins before lights off. But other than an actual air conditioner most those items on Amazon kinda just a waste of cash sadly. In my opinion at least lol. Extra co2 is another option that will allow you to grow in hotter climates but it can be tricky at times but i use exhale co2 bags in my grow room and so far (knock on wood) every grow the plants seem to be happy and healthy with high temps…

Keep in mind that some strains just dont like heat no matter what and at times ill mainly look for strains that do well in all temps or high temps but as long as ya got good airflow and tent isnt constantly in high temps (lights on and off) your soil will keep the root zone cooler than surface temps and plants should do just fine.

Now ya may lose trichomes and some coloring of plants from the heat but unless your testing your buds probably wont be noticeable
