Hello Everyone! My first grow and my first grow community!

I recently started growing and have been researching for quite a while. I figured I’d introduce myself and my grow setup. This is my first grow and grow tent. Here’s what i have so far. 7’×7’x7’ tent with 7 - 100 watt led full spectum grow lights. A few cheapy side lights to help with light exposure to the bud sites. Converted 2 clothes racks to grow light racks. I have air intake setup at the bottom of the tent with a little homemade co2 box (tiny grow tent) with a couple co2 bags inside. Have 10" exhaust inline fan at the opposing top corner of the tent from the lower air intake to create cross-flow. We’re up to 5 plants now at different stages and things have been going pretty decent with just a few hiccups so far. I found this app and love it so far and im excited to explore the community. I cant wait to learn from everyone on here and hopefully ill be able to contribute experiences someday.

Welcome to the community bud and happy to hear your giving growing a go, im sure you will love it. It also sounds like you got a pretty similar setup to mine im just on a smaller tent with 6 100w lights and co2 exhale bag. Are you running a hygrometer or tracking tent enviroment?

@Sayheytrey welcome to the group here mate. It looks like you are off to a good start from what I can see, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask, the collective knowledge of the community here is pretty solid regardless of what the issue is or what you might need.

@Smokey101 I am tracking the environment using x-sense. I have 3 monitors that track temp and humidity through their app. It connects over wifi, so i can see the data while I’m away. I also have a temp/humidity/co2 combo monitor that tracks and connects through wifi. I really like the x-sense because i can hang the monitors in the canopy. If you look close you can see them hanging in and around the canopy. It was a deal on amazon for the 3 pack and hub, so i plan on spreading them out as the other plants get bigger. Jury is out on the grow bags so far. Im not sure if its making much of a difference.

Unless your system is closed the CO2 bags don’t help much. They may a little but when your fan kicks on all your CO2 is sucked out.

It was closed off for a couple of days and the jump was about 200 ppm on average. I sacraficed about 10 degrees F in temperature doing so. I built the box on the ouside utilizing the intake originally. That wasnt working very well, so i kept it sealed and moved the bags above the plants. Got pretty much the same numbers. Been bouncing around some different ideas since my tent is in the basement.

I use sugar, yeast, and water for CO2. You have to keep shaking the mix for it to produce high amounts of CO2. With higher CO2 levels the plants can handle a higher temp. Because I don’t have a closed system I have my CO2 enter at the bottom so the fan will suck it up through the plants. Happy growing

That’s what i was looking at next! I dont want to have to exchange tanks ect, so i was looking at some DIY systems like that. I was also thinking about the LP burners that you can use and doing the whole basement environment and leaving the tent ventilation open. I would prefer to keep it cheap and not go that route though.

Right on it also looks similar to govee products and app that i use. Does it also track the vpd out of curiousty? I dont track my co2 numbers but everything else i can track which im fine with. It sounds like you did your research and prepared nicely so im sure your first grow will be pretty smooth and of course if ya need any help we will gladly share our knowledge and opinions. Looking forward to seeing pics thru out the grow

I use govee they are super amazing accurate and offer several diagrams, graphs, data recording programs that you can also Export to your email and look at the data from ever 1m to 12 hr over a year.
