Help! Possible root rot week 5 flowering

I have two indoor sativas in week 5 of flowering. I believe I have root rot because I didn’t have proper ventilation. My question is can I transplant them in new soil to mitigate the problem or is it too late? Can I dry out the plant and is it smokable this early in flowering stage? Do I let them be and allow them to grow as much as they are going to grow?

Also the humidity is under control during the heat wave 2 weeks ago I noticed they stopped growing. Now I see some evidence of root rot. Here are the pics.

Hi @Herbivore25 and welcome to the community, sorry to hear about your issue, I’m no pro here but I will tag someone who might be able to help and advice you, @Stoney1BudTokie
I hope you can turn it around, good look and keep at it

Depending on the severity of the root rot, yes. You would need to break up the dirt and roots, cut the roots out that are rotted and transplant into a well ventilated container with fresh medium of your choice. Problem is shes flowering and thats a lot of stress happening at once so she may herm. Unfortunately you really have no other choice other than let the medium dry out and ride her out till the end, but that may lead to bud rot. Anyways hope this helps and good luck.

hey bro before you start doing that and stress her further you might want to confirm it before taking any drastic action. have they been living in super wet, dense soil for example? Any bugs on the soil?

based on the info in your post, sounds like she was stunted due to the high temps (what temps did you have btw?). I just had to trash my outdoor crop for this reason, the plants were just stuck and the buds did not develop. The plants were simply trying to survive rather than reproduce.

You can try prodding some holes in the soil and simply sniffing for any rotten or musty odours. If you have plastic pots you can lift out the plant to visibly check for rot.

If they are rotting, then treat accordingly. If not, then it was probably heat stress that has stunted them.

80 degrees was max I checked for root rot and the roots were fine there are little gnat flies type bugs. What I did was flush the plants with ph balanced water. Maybe the synthetic nutrients where concentrated bottom. Still don’t know what happened. The damage hasn’t progressed yet.

I really am a Nicodemus with this community stuff but real quick please,do i need to cut off the ugly roots
