Help sexing please

I was given a number of seedlings which are appx 6-8 weeks now. I am having trouble sexing them. I am almost sure this one is male. Can someone help to confirm so I can confidently take it down? When I look for sex I primarily look for little white hairs to confirm it’s female. I do not see hairs. I don’t have a magnifier (yet) so it’s hard for me to see the balls of a make.

I do have one older gorgeous female and want to top her and clone that top. Then, I may try clones instead of growing from unknown seeds.

I am in S. America so it is summer here and everything is in veg state. Probably until March.

New grower becoming more serious, all outdoor in pots. Advice & encouragement welcome!

Too early to tell in my opinion

Thx - How long can I let it grow before it starts creating seeds in my female plant? I was told to kill the males as soon as possible.

Itll occur shortly after the flowering stretch which is roughly 2 weeks. Then youll start seeing either white hairs indicating a female or youll start seeing little ball sacks that will bunch up looking like a group hanging bannanas letting you know they are males in which case around week 5 of flower they can start to release pollen. Sometimes even as early as week 4 of flower so you will want to check daily after about week 3 of flower just to be safe

So far I see signs pointing to being female. In another week or two it should be more obvious. Happy growing

You’ll be ok, it takes quiet a few weeks, trust me if it’s a male you’ll be able to know before it’s too late as long as your not leaving it alone for weeks at a time and keep an eye on it. Where the bran CJ we split off from the main stem you should begin to see white hairs poking out. If you wait like a weeks em still see no white hairs and begin to see balls and bananas then get worried.

Low key looks female from the little caylax between the nodes at least that’s what I see give it more time.

From the posted pics I only see paired nodes . . . the nodes will begin to stagger or alternate as the plant reaches sexual maturity, soon after the nodes stop pairing up you should start seeing pre-flowers. Short of going old school and force flowering a single branch, you just have to wait to be sure

Right there you can see what looks like female characteristics I presume female. But like everyone said give it more time it will show for sure soon. Good luck happy growing.

Thanks everyone! Checking back after a few weeks. I still cant tell the sex. Some more photos for reference.

The plant is still in veg state but getting yellow at the bottom. I added some grass cuttings for nitrogen, what else can I do?

My female clones did take! So I have at least confirmed females to work with. I want to be sure to catch males before they can pollinate.

Grass clippings don’t break down fast enough for your plant to access it. I’d look into buildasoil’s buildaveg and buildabloom if you can, Gia green, or green rush of you plan to stay organic. I use buildasoil stuff in my garden. If you want to feed synthetic I’d suggest advanced nutrients as they are pH perfect making your life super easy.

As for the sex I see you circled a set of balls which means it’s a male.

Thank you! I will look into nutrients. In the last photo if you zoom in you can see those little balls there too. That indicates male? Does it look certain? If so, I’ll get rid of it. Hate killing the plants but definitely don’t want seeds.

Those ball looking parts are indicative of male 100%
