Hi there.

Recently i had planted mine critical auto, the ambient is in exterior at balcony. I need help because since the seed germinate it has like 20-21 days, but the planta looks like tinny and little, I’m wondering what i am doing wrong.

  1. i make a sustrato mix, the one i can found in Lidl(the supermarket) is universal sustrato, as well i added some humus and perlita, It in 16L pot

  2. I am regarding with a few water like 2-3 days. I using a stick inside the earth to assure is still dry or swet

  3. the most important things my balcony has only 6 hours of sun direct.

I Will really help if you wise me

Autos will grow under those conditions but will be stressed and probably enter flower early. Autos are tough for beginner growers but with only 6 hours of light they are your best bet.

Is that direct sunlight that it gets? If it still receives indirect light you should be ok as long as the total light received is greater than 12-14 hours. I would suggest growing a photo to start with. Autos can be very finicky. Stress can make autos flower early which will hinder growth and yield.

My balcony gets direct sunlight from 9:30 am until 2 pm because a building across the street blocks the sun from sunrise until 9:30 am, and by 2 pm the sun sets behind my building. However, by moving the plants, I can still take advantage of some rays for another hour. So, the rest of the afternoon my balcony has indirect light.

The white pots get direct sunlight until 2 pm, and if I put them on the ground, they can get another hour of direct sunlight.

I should also mention that I live in Barcelona, and it’s currently spring. Perhaps in summer I’ll get more hours of direct sunlight.

So I’m wondering if it’s really worth growing under these conditions. If I can get at least 10 grams per plant, I’d be happy.

I understand you recommend periodic photoperiods. Do you have any specific strains that would adapt to these conditions on my balcony?

Or should I just give up? haha :c

I wouldn’t suggest quoting. I think you might regret quitting. I don’t know of specific cultivars to help you. I only suggest photoperiod plants bc they handle stress much better than autos. As a beginner, I’m sure the first few grows will get stressed until you get the hang of things. I think you receive enough light to grow what you’re looking for. I grow indoors with a tent and lights. Where I’m at I can’t grow outdoors and I would love to have one outdoors!! Good luck with your journey!
