Hey I’m growing this marshmallow OG strain it was growing good and health until a few days ago when I notice the leaves changing colors…I did notice a little pest which most likely came from the plant I had next to it so I did move it away but wondering if the plant is lacking in any nutrients? Please help
Hello tricky hope your doing well and sorry to having an issue and hopefully we can help ya out. Have you fed nutrients yet? And how has your environment been meaning temps and humidity? In the first pic i kinda feel like your humidity is too high, i believe when rh and temps are close it makes your vpd close to 0 which could be the cause of that crinkle leaf look and over watered look or it could be from overwatering. How often do you water and how much?
As for the bottom pics it does look the start of nitrogen deficiency and may need to start feeding. But with a little more info those are just first glance assumption
Ohok I believe it could be the humidity then..have notice the humidity in the mid to high 70’s sometimes 80. I don’t believe I’m overwatering, I usually water once a week between half to a gallon. If I do a gallon I would wait a little longer than a week maybe about 10 days to water again. And yes I did start feeding nutrients but maybe I’m adding to little
Super dark green glossy leaves, tips starting to curl, lower leaves yellowing,. Im leaning towards nitrogen toxicity. How strong are you feeding and what are you using?
With feeding it can be tricky because if there was stiil an efficient amount of nutes before feeding it could create a lockout and also ph is a factor as well. Do you happen to you what ph your watering with ?
Really good point glad your around man lol didnt even think of that
These was the last 2 feedings a gave the plant with the 5.6, 5.2, 3.8 being the last amount of nutrients I used. I did give half a gallon on Wednesday the the 11th and the other half yesterday on the 16th…I did add more fox farm soil on the 11th when I water it..I use the ocean forest soil
I’m using general hydroponics feeding
I don’t have fox farms available here so i don’t use it but i remember others saying it has a few weeks of nutrients already in it so fresh soil along with full strength feeds could easily be the cause. @Smokey101 uses it i think so he might be able to help
I would try a couple of plain ph adjusted waterings and see how she responds
I’m using between 6.5 and 6.3
Okay thats proper and now knowing what your feeding and the fact ya added more soil your probably pretty rich in nutes right and can probably go a few waterings without nutes. Also i do feel crackadoo is right about the nitrogen toxicity and when ya water it may be a good idea to water until some runoff occurs like a water bottles amount just to flush the dark green one a bit
Same to much nitro
What medium are you using? Different medium require different pHs. Soil likes it in the range of 6-7 with 6.5 being optimal, coco likes in the range of 5.5-6.5 with 5.8-6.2 being optimal.
Duuuuuude, r u telling us you only have watered 1-2x per week, but EVERYTIME your giving nutrients? That could be why. You need to do at least a nutrient, watering, nutrient, watering. You may need to flush your soil of all those salts and check the runoff pH and the EC of your runoff to see about how the pot is doing. That is SCREAMING nitrogen toxicity and water swelling. So the roots may be getting damaged by too much salt and nutrients. My recommendation as of right now would be to flush your soil with like 1 gallon of water and check the runoff and keep going until you get you pH in 6.2-6.8 since you said your in ocean Forrest and get your PPM to 500. It’s essential to get that down right cause either your ph is drifting and causing nitrogen toxicity, too much salts causing nitrogen toxicity, or something within those lines. I’ve seen this before and had to fix it before. Trust me you need to check the runoff, it’s the only thing to know what to do next. And somehow if the EC is rigtt he and the pH is right, it could be root burn from nutrients. But I would flush this baby and get the pH and PPM and EC right, then let her dry to the point you can lift her and she feels relatively light, not dry as a brick but let it get light so you can lift. Then begin doing a water, feed, water, feed cycle. I really hope to hear more so you can heal this baby and get some amazing flower form it! Also if you are doing fox farms and your only on week 2-3, then you don’t need nutrients at all yet, your supposed to plant in that soil, and wait around 30 days BEFORE you begin feeding so it can fill out the pot and eat up the nutrients in the soil. That’s explains so much why you got burns. Yeah FLUSH THAT SOIL, your over added nutrients. And I would go for like 2-3 weeks with no feeding just water and try to get that EC down in the root zone and get that plant to eat up the extra nitrogen it uptook.
