Help with sativa timing and density

Growlog link: [paste your link here]

If you don’t have a growlog please answer these questions.
What strain are you growing? Lemon sativa? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg? Regular female.
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor? Indoor grow tent.
Are you using nutrients? Manutec hydroponic line. Which ones? Potash plus. Pk booster. How much? 1000ppm per 2l

How do you guys know when to harvest?
I have grown quite a few indicas and after a few harvest have dialed in how to get multiple large dense tops.
I got a batch of seeds from a friend that only produced 1 female.
During veg she showed obvious signs of being a sativa. Long pointy leaves, larger node spacing etc.
Once switched to flower she took over 2 weeks to even begin stretching or showing pistils.
She continued to stretch for about 5 weeks and has now started producing alot of nodal sites.
I lollipopped her and swazzed her removing all large fan leaves. Upped her feedings and she is producing well.

The question i have is will she produce similliar bud density in the same setup? And how do you guys know when theyre fully ripe and finished?

Hi, these are a lot of questions that don’t have a clear answer. The harvest time is exactly the same as for Indica strains. That means brown pistils and cloudy to amber colored trichomes. As far as the density of the buds goes, it depends on the temperature, humidity and phenotype of the strain. I consider two weeks until the stretch after flowering has started to be normal. I don’t think anyone will be able to give you a valid answer. I hope I was able to answer your question as best as possible.

I agree with @Cliff_36 the stretch is normal so no worries there and as far as density goes each cultivar will do better than others in certain enviroments and even then the same cultivar can express different phenotypes compared to her sister plants so to really find out your answer for that you would have to do a few grows in different enviroment settings or possibly get direct info from breeder. As for readyness thats personal preference as to how much amber you prefer but once all/most of the trichs on budsites are cloudy/milky she is ready to be harvested.
My exp with sativas even the hybrids that lean on the sativa side normally around 9-11 weeks flowering just for the mostly milky trichs and at times 12 weeks and a few days for the 15% amber i prefer

The sativa in question at 9 weeks of bloom.

If you don’t have any strain info it’s all guessing . . . but from the transitions times you describe and what she looks like at 9 weeks I’d just call her an original haze and let her rip. If it is haze genetics surfacing you’re probably looking at 12-16+ weeks flowering time.

9 weeks of bloom. Including stretch.

Dude out of a batch of 7 random seeds she was the only female. Only prior info was she was a sativa. Now you say that tho… she smells like a lemon tree and the timing is nothing like i have seen before.
Haze you say…?

That’s just my WAG at it, haze is generally in the lineage somewhere if you’re running a sativa dominant hybrid. What you’re sharing reminds me of the original haze traits, and the reasons nobody wanted to run them indoors . . . a crazy stretch and a long, long flowering period, some running over 16 weeks.
