First of all, welcome here.
What is your 12/12 light cycle? You wrote below that they are feminized, but in the picture, you can see flower beginnings.
Welcome to the community! That seems like it could be overwatered as well. Are you letting the soil dry back a bit between waterings? That’s a super common mistake we all made in the beginning
They look hungry and over watered. The over watering can affect nutrient up take so that may be the hungry issue. How often do you water? How big are the pots? How much do you water? How do you judge when it’s time to water?
Could it then be due to the point I mentioned regarding pH and organic growing?
I made the mistake in watering by repeatedly watering only small amounts, then letting it dry out a bit again. Now I’ve watered properly with the fertilizer mix until a slight runoff came out the bottom.
Thank you very much for the quick reply and the kind words!
So I think I made the mistake of watering small amounts often, and the plants were never really moist everywhere. Yesterday I watered properly until a slight drain came out at the bottom. Now I’m letting them dry or drink until the top layer is dry and the pot is significantly lighter.
What do you think about that? And can you tell me something about the point regarding pH and organic fertilizing? Is it true that I shouldn’t use pH minus because organic bio soil buffers and otherwise the balance of microorganisms will be disturbed?
Usually, clones should already be female. I was just surprised that one can already see flower beginnings, did you have your lighting set differently before?
Regarding the other point, the pH
I’ve grown organically for quite awhile, my tap water is a pH of almost 9 and I don’t adjust pH. Never had an issue that was caused by pH. I know some adjust it but I don’t find it necessary.
You are right, so I had 18/6 running the whole time. I spoke to the dealer about the cuttings, he said it was due to the age of the mother plant, it’s already over 1 year old and that’s why the little ones are developing like that. That wouldn’t be problematic..
Yesterday I set the light to 400 watts from 250 and always only watered a little instead of properly and then waiting, could it be that they reacted like that because of that and because of the pH minus? Which wasn’t necessary at all, because my tap water is about 7.6 pH and it’s buffered?
Now luckily the little ones have recovered, I set the light to 250W and PPFD around 350, then yesterday I watered properly until a slight drain came out. Without pH minus, it looks like they have recovered quite well by today, I hope it stays that way
I don’t think it was due to the mother plant’s age. My three were grown from seeds and showed their sex three weeks after they were in vegetation, I think yours will too. Just wanted to make sure you weren’t running 12/12. In any case, you now know that they are definitely female.
