How old is your guys plant ? send a pic or comment

It all depends on how you go about it with coco, i fill my autopot res once or twice a week at most and touch nothing else but the plants with autopots. Hand feeding it is a nightmare in coco but is very unnecessary too.

I like the idea of those and hydro in general but i can’t trust my power supply enough these days

Autopots are amazing. Earthbox or the ac infinity auto watering base are like that for organic. Blumats are next level when it comes to automation. I plan on using a trash can as my res for the blumats. I only ever hand fed coco and had an ac infinity auto base towards the end that made feeding easier but I still had to fill the res every 2 days. I’m assuming autopots the way for coco. My buddy runs organic in them and swears by them.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hydro fertilization system?

Go solar if you can. That was game changing for me. My local grid sucks too, I’d lose power at least once a month lol. Typically just for a few hours but that still makes growing hard for any style. I started growing as soon as my solar system was installed. You could always have a jackery as a back up power supply too.

What kind of hydro?

Ive been looking at solar with batteries for a while now, the prices are getting closer to a point where i can get the wife to go along with it lol. Honestly autopots are probably how i will go from now on. After 2 grows with them now im completely sold on them. The only thing I will change is building the system that works for me with pot, tray and res sizes.

Good question, what is there? I think that expanded clay or coco will go in there and then the 7 gallon water tank. I’m basically open to that.
Google recommends Advanced nutrients, hesi and canna

I have experience with advanced nutrients pH perfect line up. I can’t say enough great things about their products for growing with synthetic.

Organic would also be an option? I don’t want the water to turn bad. I was worried about that with the organic fertilizer that I already have.

I wouldn’t put organic nutes in a res they go bad in a couple days once mixed.

Do you know what organics your buddy is using for the autopots? That could make things even easier

How many grows do you think you can get with the starter? So with the advanced nutrients.

I also don’t recommend organics in the reservoir. I was chasing all kinds of problems. The only organic I use now is big bloom from fox farm. It’s super filtered and used in there hydro chart.

I’ve just ordered the starter from Advanced Nutrients and will see what results I can achieve. Does a heater in the water tank actually make sense?

That depends on your environment, you might need something to maintain temperatures but for example i would need a water chiller instead if i wanted to maintain it properly

I scored on advanced nutrients when I bought my tent and I feel like I could get 3-4 runs with them for my two plants

I was getting 3-4 grows with their 1L/1quart bottles. But I also wasn’t feeding every water.
