How old is your guys plant ? send a pic or comment

I use auto pots but, i dont run anything other then filtered water in the reservoir. That way i dont have to clean the system ever. Just use dry ammendments every 3 or 4 weeks as a top dress. About as hands off you can get. Only issues i run into is the top inch or 2 gets really dry if i dont keep it covered. Which can cause issues because then im not getting the breakdown needed for the ammendments. Fungus nats were always an issue but, this run i didn’t have a single one. Completely free of them.

Are you using soil or coco in yours?

If you want to learn more about Octopots and see other people’s success go to Overgrow, it’s a forum. Type octopot in the search bar and have at it. Check out Octopot grow room by Mr420 on YouTube. I went by the seat of my pants and had issues. My plants are fine but I learned a bunch. If you decide to go with octopots, I will help in any way I can.

Auto Critical Orange Punch, just hit the reservoir recently and taking off. The training has begun.

Very true . . . I started outdoors long ago, began tinkering with soilless and ebb & flow in '92, tried DWC around '05 before returning to soilless in a HFF/DTW coco setup. I see very near hydro results with a system that is both stable and forgiving. I’ve found my best results to date in this system combined with some environmental crop steering by adjusting temp, light and NER as the plants mature.

I researched but never tried organics. One thing I learned is organics benefit the environment more than the plant. In organics you feed and build the soil . . . chemicals feed the plant rather than feeding the soil. My focus is on the plant and it’s needs, media is replaced each grow . . . so in my opinion organics bring no real benefit to the actual plants over chemical salts. Also I just never got a handle on how you can quickly and effectively adjust nutrient NER as the plants go through veg to flower? I also wanted to stay with smaller pots and organics is best in 10+ gallon containers. I run 2 gallon pots for the most part because they don’t fall over as easy . . . not because I need 2 gallons of media for the plant.

OK Guys, i bought Apera ph20,EC20 the spiderfarmer DWC system 7Gallon and a Starter Kit pH Line Advanced Nutrients.
I’m really excited. I’m already thinking about testing an automatic in it. But no

Damn, that system looks badass! And it’s pretty cheap too. It’s a love/hate relationship with this site. I just want to buy and try everything!

Gave the girls the chop today after seeing what I wanted on the trichomes. 98 days from seed to harvest for 3 with a 30 day veg and the others only got 18 days.

You’ll be happy with them! I supplement some of their stuff too if it’s cheaper. For example, their rhino skin I use tree trunk from Humboldt instead. Their X factor, I use terpinator instead, etc

I’m still a bit clueless, but it will work out. I even have a candidate already. It’s currently in a 1l airpot for testing. I hope I can get the root out of there surgically so I can repot the plant in the hydropot.

After topping the soil with a local elemental blend, these 2 girls seem to have taken to it nicely. Especially after adjusting watering schedule to 2 days at 2.5L to a 19L Pot

Hi guys, maybe someone can help me. How are the nutrients actually introduced into the DWC, for example from week 1 to week 2? Do I then have to change the water or just refill or top up the fertilizer and water?

I’m not sure but I’ll be following this to see how it works as well! I’ll try and watch some YouTube videos about it too
