We will be somewhere in the 20¢+ area. My electricity bill is already $700ish during the summer. I’m really dreading the increase, it takes hold June 1st. I feel like electricity prices will continue to soar as many are switching to solar. They have to make up for the loss in revenue by abusing the customers they still have.

Come to Australia and your paying closer to 70c/kWh even for off peak rates. Makes every bit of growing indoors expensive lol

Duuude thats insane but i also know what you guys pay for a pack of marlboro smokes so doesn’t surprise lol. I think my state does off peak hours but im locked in at 16 cents which isnt bad compared to what im reading lol. Grow room runs me about $50 a month but that soon to go up with new lighting soon

$50 a month isn’t bad at all actually considering what you’re doing and getting out of it. Money well spent! I’ve been spending about $100-$200 a month recently for my upgrades but think I’m done for now unless I need a dehumidifier lol. I did completely upgrade my setup tho so money well spent. I’m not really a big spender in general so don’t feel guilty having no cap on my spending for growing. I just view it as investing money I would’ve wasted elsewhere and also helping my mom lol

You bought some quality stuff and im sure will get your moneys worth and then some. I bought a lot of my stuff on like black friday deals and stuff like that and my next big purchase is better lights. I have some money to play with just need to be aware of how many watts im using and with summer here the ac will be going on soon lol

For sure. I wonder what the energy difference will be between my current mars hydro ts2000 and new hlg 350 Diablo. On the bright side, this run is photo plants so will be cutting down to 12 hours in a month or so compared to 18 hours with my previous autos.

VPD is definitely important! Especially when you work with CO². But to be honest, I’ve paid enough attention to it so far.

It’s a modified 12-1 schedule. I sometimes thought they grow a little slower in the first two week’s, with this schedule. But now I think it’s more because of the different strain that I’ve grown. So I would say no cons. As long as your plant don’t sleep more than 6 hours they won’t start to flower. Just keep an eye on the DLI. And the pro is less power consumption. But this obviously only works with photoperiodic plants. Or let’s say, I would not do it with autos.

This dude is also running a 10-14 schedule in flower but I have no experience with that.

Middle of week 5 and the rickys hash plant is heavy feeder she basically taking double feedings a week. Every 2 days she fades lighter green until i feed her. The sour maui i seem to have stretched out to much in veg and was probably happy with the stronger ppfd but wasnt comfortable with her being 10 inches from light and should have added a second light earlier rather than later. The 2 necro kush plants have been happy and healthy the whole just enjoying life and beyond easy to grow. Few more weeks to go and on to a full blueberry grow

My blueberry I have going is all deformed and is still so small it’s in a solo cup but looks like good new growth coming in so it should be solid
