Keeping the tops of your pots covered with mulch would keep it moist enough to top dress with dry amendments and still work. The catch is coco alone doesn’t seem to support microbe life as well as a proper soil mix at least in what i have seen. If you want to go full organic soil is going to be a better option. You could absolutely do that in the octopots though, there is no mineral build up to stop you from doing an occasional top watering after a topdress either with organics. Coco is overall going to go better with synthetics.
I’ve found simplicity to be the best policy, especially for Auto flowers in my case
Oh man what a mess.
I can be glad I didn’t want to wait that long and got myself the Cannatrol, which is now starting for the second time.
What about the right of return?
Flaws and malfunctions are unacceptable.
I hope everything gets resolved to your satisfaction. Greetings from Paule
After your suggestion @Mjcalifornia I decided to backfill as these babies grow tall, very fast, topped these ladies about 5 days ago and got new growth faster than I’m used to😅
I’m seeing it only holds 1 of my plants at a time maybe less with 2 of my bigger plants. So I’ll have to buy another unit. I’m going cannatrol this time. I know it’s like double what I paid for the vcure, and the vcure holds slightly more, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
Day 79 week 12…barely anything showing amber’s except one sour d so that’s gonna be the next plant harvested. Here are some bud shots
Man that’s disappointing as, I was hoping they’d be decent.
Ones going good, one hasn’t broken the surface but I think cause I planted a little early before it’s Taproot was fully out that’s on me thought cause one was ready it should be fine I’ll still give it a couple more days, not to bothered as I’m still in a bit of of a trial an error stage, with coco an auto flowers an a few other things, at least I’ll become a master of what not to do hahahahahaha.
You can literally backfill till you get close to the top. The plants will throw roots from the stem after it’s buried so it can actually end up being beneficial and a more thorough root network from what I’ve read!
Dude you always have the prettiest bud, no joke
Thanks man! I can’t take all the credit though, build a soil and their videos along with their nute line up get most of the credit along with genetics.
I was thinking of buying a small tent for drying so I continuously have autos in an out so like a perpetual cycle.
I’m really hoping my cheese and cherry gar see ya nail it! My cheese seems like it’s by far my best buds and grow so far. I’ll mail those cherry seeds to you next week too, this week was a shit show for me and that’s putting it nicely ![]()
Take your time on those I’m not in a rush. This next run is blueberry pancakes and after that is strawberry cough. After that I wanna run the ones from you.
I hope she smokes like a dream. Your plants look really good it’s no surprise it’s your best. I think we all get better every run.
That’s all you need really. You can even link it to the main tent with a short section of ducting and scrub the air through the filter in the main tent.
I also want to down size to a 3x3, the 5x5 is just a bit to big for my needs atm, was good for the first run but I realized after that I want a smaller scale, only do 2 or 3 max at a time.
I guess you gotta try new things or new ways some times to see if you like them or work well for you.
