Hello to the whole community. What tips do you give to new growers? At the moment I have a 600W HPS KIT. What distances should I place the lamp in relation to the plant?
Keep her at least 20" away , and keep an eye on your plant. She will show you signs if she is too close to the light or too far away. Listen to her

Welcome to the community @BABB1234 . You can place your hand under the light and leave it there for a while, if it burns then it will burn your plant.
As @WavvyBaby says, keep an eye, she will tell you. If the leaves are pointing down then it’s probable too close (it could be other things too). If you see the plant stretching, she is trying to reach the light which means it is too far
