First time grower here. I have 1 plant in a 4x4 tent and the humidity is only at 25%. I’m in week 2 of flowering. What works best for in a grow tent setting?
I tend to keep my plants around 50-70% humidity but I’ve been noticing that the moisture is retained in the soil and creates some inconsistencies with my watering cycle. I would recommend getting a good ventilation system going or get some fans so you can avoid this issue. If the moisture gets stuck in your soil you can build up mold, or even worse, root rot.
I have an AC 4” carbon filter fan and a regular fan. I need to get the moisture up to 40-50%.
Do you have a humidifier in there already? That in itself would be the solution to bumping up the humidity.
Another option in lieu of a humidifier is a pan or two of water in the tent. You don’t need much volume but want a larger surface area for evaporation. Also can you lower exhaust’s output? It could be sucking your moisture out.
I haven’t put a humidifier in it yet. But looked at some on Amazon that you can set the % you want. I can’t really turn my filter fan down with the heat my lights put out. Right now I’m at the upper threshold of temperature, ridding around 76-78F.
Today I put a wet hand towel up and a larger bowl of water underneath it. And I run a house humidifier that sucks down 6gal a day.

I’d definitely try to raise the humidity at least to 45% if possible.
Wet hand towels can do the job.
