I love my girls

First grow. Just happy so far. I did mess up by planting an auto and a photo together. I didn’t intend on that, I thought the auto didn’t germinate so I planted the photo. Then both sprouted.

Well an auto can grow in any light schedule and still flower fine. It can grow alongside your photo. Even when you switch the lights. At least that’s my understanding. I’m new…

This is correct, you can also veg the while life of the auto if you want to live dangerously lol. That’s what I did while doing a mainline on a photo.

I hope to take the auto through full growth cycle with 12/6 lighting then flip the photo with12/12. We will see. First grow so I’m just happy that both seem to be doing fine. Cannabis are just beautiful plants to watch grow.

In your pictures they both look healthy. Be careful to not overwater them. And you may want them in bigger pots. The auto should be in 3-5 gal. The photo should be upsized to a 3-5 for now then larger later. You don’t want them to get root bound and stunt the growth.

Thank s for the reply. I water them by weighing them. I wait until each get to a specific weight then add the same amount of water each time. Might be time to increase the water a bit as they are getting bigger overnight. I found out later that I should have planted the auto in a 3-5 gallon the first time. I read that they don’t like to be transplanted. I really didn’t expect either to even grow. Been nervous about transplanting. Plan on using fabric pots, but don’t have any yet.

I transplanted my first auto without any problems. The ones I’m growing now I planted directly in final pots. I think both methods work. Just depends on timing with the autos. If you don’t transplant it may stay quite small. But will still grow. Everyone has a different opinion I think you just need to make a decision and see what works best for you. Hers my girls this morning. Just started pre flower.

Are you compensating for the increase in plant mass as she grows? If not, at some point they’ll never dry back to the target weight.

I recommend using the search bar at the top as many questions have already been asked and answered. I’ve gained a majority of my knowledge from the collective advice given by members of this community. Glad I could finally be of assistance to someone else.

I haven’t yet, but planned on adding more on the next feeding in about 3 days. Was waiting on them to tell me when they want more. I’ve really only watered them 3 times since 11/1/23. Next will be the 4th. I log the nutrients, PH and TDS each time. Using General Hyponics trio with Cal-mag 1/4 strength.

Nice work. They look great. I orded some fabric pots, should arrive tomorrow.

From what I’ve read fabric pots help by keeping the flow of oxygen to the root system. Also the plant self prunes it’s roots leading to a healthier and more robust root system. My last grow was in plastic pots and they definitely showed signs of being root bound and overwatering at the end. Lessons learned… in my limited experience. So far In fabric pots my plants are healthily thriving. Using strive nutes. But time will tell.

What’s the light cycle for just starting out

If I could just say yes. It’s yes

I have them 18-6. I have a small 2x2x4 tent and I use 3 LED shop lights. They seem to like it. I have other full spectrum blurple ( blue/purple) lights, but they seem to like the white light better.
