Hello all I am new to Jane and the community. I am a fairly new grower, I had my first outdoor grow this summer with a beautiful Purple Haze. My husband and I are putting finishing touches on our grow room and I am getting a little nervous about the indoor grow. I have 4 ants coming soon, and I’m not familiar with pH systems or with all the gadgets and meters and will need assistance in the weeks ahead from experienced growers that are familiar with the technology. I am a very organic grower so reproducing what mother nature provides naturally indoors has me nervous. So any tips are much appreciated!

I prefer the organic route too. What gadgets do you have?
The tools I use:
- Humidistat
- pH Pen
- Activated Charcoal Water Filter
- Small Humidifier (only in the summer)
- Timer
- Hygrometer
I didn’t bother with EC or PPM testers since my local water is very potable and the charcoal seems to work wonders. If I ever switched to reverse osmosis I would probably invest in those but my understanding is that RO systems designed for homeowners are incredibly wasteful. Apparently it wastes 3-7 times the amount of clean water it provides. Crazy!
What kind of medium are you using, bagged or DIY?

Hello everyone I’m brand new to growing and just finished my home made grow tent and just started germination today at 2 pm so any tips or advice would be great

- The first thing I would say, without writing a book, is to have your lights on (18/6) when you first see any sign of any seed popping through. And
- be careful not to over water (no more than 2-3 ounces of water for sprouts).
- Plant in a good potting mix (in a party cup) like Fox Farm’s Ocean Forest to start.
- Use Endo-Mycorrhizae and root promoter asap.
- Root promoter should be no more than 0-1-1 (no nitrogen) 1 teaspoon per gallon.
- Your only focus is root growth for 3-4 weeks and then we start the vegetative stage.
- Taller (smaller diameter) pots are better to encourage roots to follow water down and prevent over watering.
- Do not use fertilizer other than 0-1-1 for four weeks.

To change the name from unknown seed to something you want, just tap on Optional Fields when you are creating a plant, or select the plant you want to change the name and tap on Edit, then Optional Fields.
