Is it bud rot?

Hey guys, I found this spot today and I’m thinking possible bud rot. The stems look normal, it doesn’t feel mushy and the sugar leaves seem pretty sturdy and don’t come off easy. I did have a catapiller issue a couple weeks back and think I got them all. Is this possible just an area that was munched on?

Lime OG (photos) nearing week 5 of flower. Growing outdoors but they have been going into the garage at night due to weather concerns. Using Dr Earth flower girl every two weeks, a little under reccomended dosage.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like early onset of bud rot…

You can be proactive and cut that portion out and toss it. Same things happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

Your weather seems oddly similar to mine which has been super helpful from reading your posts!

Ok, so do I cut it at the node or go further? I hate having to do this but if it will save the plant I’m all ears.

Ya…Autumn came in hard here so far. Lots of rain…night temps are single digits.

My plants look fine so far.

I built a shelter for them so I can hopefully finish them off. 3 -4 weeks I’m hoping. Can’t let all our hard work go to waste now!

I just cut the rot out. Have a good look at the surrounding area…cut anything out that looks suspect and monitor the area, continuously.

I had a small spot on mine and cut it out. That was the only patch of it I found .:man_shrugging:

Looks like botrytis, make sure to remove the aflicted part and treat with calypso or other anti fungus product the rest of the plant, adding ventilation system could be nice option if you are close to harvest instead of adding shit to the flowers hehe

Looks like you’re right and I got it early, it didn’t go too far down the stem. Had to chop off the top of a cola which sucks but hopefully I’m in the clear now.

Thanks once again guys, this community is awesome.
