I have a plant that’s deep in it’s veg state and I’m wondering if I should start introducing her with some LST. I’ve never done it before and don’t know where to start with it. I’m also afraid that my grow tent is way too small for her to start training. What are your guys opinions?
Also, she’s about four weeks deep into her veg state and I’m wondering when I should flip her into the flowering stage. This is my first plant so I’m not experienced with flipping stages
Low stress training is normally started when they have 4-6 nodes and are about 4 weeks old, I start mine at that point as well. I think it may be a little too tall to try to bend the main stem and manipulate it that way but it’s never too late for topping it. You can top it by snipping this top off
Right on, I had a feeling it might’ve been a little too late but I think I’ll try topping the plant and see how it does. I’ve never topped a plant so hopefully I don’t mess it up. I’m growing in a 24”x24”x48” grow tent right now. It’s more or less my incubator for my plants until I get a better one. So you’re suggesting that I cut the new branch that’s coming off from the right side of the photo?
Hello, @209MIKE correctly showed that you can crop where he showed the topmost developing pair. The plant will change the movement of nutrients and it will develop more side branches.
Yup, that’s the one, just below the very top where the main new growth is. It easily done and the plant looks plenty healthy enough for it too after 10 days you will notice how much busier it is too. @520grower
Nice, I’m
Going to try it out and post on update on it. Thanks for the advice!
