I’m usually pretty good at sexing but this one has me confused. I have an app that’s supposed to tell me male or female. The app is saying female but I’m not so sure that it is.
Please help.

At first glance, I see slight overwatering on the leaves, but that wasn’t the question.
Is it possibly herming? Up top, it already looks quite feminine.

I see male flowers in the pictures, near your fingers. The most noticeable thing to me is the rounded shape of the flowers, which are separated from the stem and have no pistils. I think female flowers have more of a teardrop shape (since they are calyxes), appear closer to the stem, and have at least one pistil.

these are male flowers of mine, if you look at the flowers at the top you will see that they look like yours.

Thanks for the responses. The only reason I questioned it is the app I have told me female on 4 different scans. If not for that I would have chopped it immediately.

We all need a little help every once in a while. An app I have has a section to tell the sex of the plant. I scanned 4 different tops and it said female all 4 times. I’m going to be contacting the developer to voice my concerns of it giving me the wrong sex 4 separate times.

Obviously, you haven’t read all of my posts. I have an app that offers a sexing section, I did 4 different scans and they all said female. That’s why I came here to get other eyes on it to see if they saw what I saw. The app is the only reason I had a question at all about it being male.

This is why I normally grow feminized seeds. These were given to me for free, so I gave them a try. The one was straight-up male. The second seed has hermed on me. I’ll run out what I have, but after they are gone I’ll never grow anything but feminized seeds, unless I have no choice.

@Demonrage75 Which breeder were the seeds from? It would be good to know where not to order from. Either they mixed up regular seeds with bad genetics, or their genetics are not good, perhaps even overbred.

I order nutrients from a company called Omega Genetix. They send seeds and other things with every order. So they’re regular seeds, cheap to make. As far as I know, they don’t sell seeds, just give them away with orders. I’ll never grow regular seeds again unless I’m extremely desperate, especially free ones.

Regular seeds are the best choice if you want to breed properly. If you just want to grow something to smoke, they are a lot of work and you need enough space until you have selected.

Not interested in breeding at the moment. Maybe in the future I’ll think about breeding, but I’m just interested in getting flower for now. If I do breed it will probably be just a branch or 2 with colloidal silver or similar chemical. I only grow for myself and my daughter, so I don’t need a bunch of seeds. A branch would carry more than enough seeds for me.

@Demonrage75 I prefer colloidal silver water to produce seeds. Normally, I spray one or two branches to get male flowers; the rest of the plant then remains female and bears the seeds. However, the plant is also poisoned by the treatment and can no longer be consumed afterwards. It would be absolutely harmful to health to smoke or consume the plant. But the method works really well; I haven’t had any hermaphrodites among the seeds, and I always make sure to only use high-quality seeds for this, so you also get good quality in the result. Currently, I’m cultivating seeds from a Royal Runtz, which should be ready for harvest in two weeks. You can already recognize the ripe seeds as the bracts where they were first pollinated are slowly opening.
At the same time, I collected pollen and used it to pollinate another plant, a Pink Runtz, to get a cross. However, on this plant, I only pollinated a few small flowers; the rest of the plant is intended for smoking.
