Is this seedling dead?

Indoor fem Skywalker OG

The same thing happened to my black widow Z I’m not sure what I did wrong or if anything is wrong. I have a water gauge I check twice a day and water if below 3/10 (dry) on the gauge. I water all three plants the same. I have a 3x3 grow tent that sits around 72 F and 50% humidity. Can’t modify humidity right now. Is Skywalker dead or is no one really gone?

Hi UnseamluTangent!

I think she needs more humidity because they take most of the water they need from the air when they are so young. If you can’t change it, maybe you can put a dome on it, with some holes so it can breathe, but at the same time retain the water it generates with breathing. I usually make them using cut plastic bottles.

Hi @UnseamlyTangent, looking at your grow log, it is only a bout a week old? and that picture is from the 12th. Can you take a picture of it now as reference? It looks to me in the picture that it is just starting to stand up and lift it’s head out of the soil.

I should have posted a picture with the post. There is a little green but the little stem is turning brown if you can see it.

I tried to use a dome from a plastic bottle and it raised the humidity to 92% which I understand is way to high.

If you put some slightly larger holes in the bottle you can find some middle ground with the humidity. Add an extra hole or expand existing ones while monitoring the rh and shoot for around 70%.

Yeah I dunno why I didn’t think of this. Now it hovers around 70-77% humidity but I don’t know the RH?

Hi @UnseamlyTangent RH = Relative Humidity, so 70-77% is your RH

Thanks for the info. Sorry I’m a noob
