So its been three weeks since harvest, rh is still abit hi but im sorkimg on lowimg That. I decidednto sample some bud, its horrible! It hits my throat lime razors and has a heavy fuel taste it also induces alot of saliva production and ( sorry to be gross) the saliva has a weird taste its packs a small punch and a short luved stoned period, where did i go wrong?
Hi, what kind of strain did you plant? Something with diesel by any chance? There are also strains that take a really long time to release their aromas. After drying, around two weeks, there is another drying or fermentation process. This also takes an average of four weeks, depending on the strain. In addition, depending on the parents, the taste can either come from the mother or the father. The buds should have a reat moisture content of 58% so that you can smoke them.

How long did you dry? how long did you cure? What is the humidity and temp in cure containers?

So curing is something that can’t be rushed. You can’t just bring it down to dryness and smoke it will be harsh. You should “burp” it 1-2x per day for the first 1-2 weeks, then you can let it sit back to like once a week, but it’ll take 4-8 weeks for the flavor to increase and the potency to be longer lived, and also help get rid of that super harsh taste.
