They both look healthy and look like they’re off to a great start. I went to seed finder to check out the page you pulled the info from and the one comment spoke highly of that strain. Not sure where you got them from but it says they may not be girls depending. Hope they are and you have a fantastic grow
Thank you, I actually had a friend in Cape Town who already grew this last year… I was going to visit during the holidays but corona restrictions were placed on cross province traveling, so I couldn’t get there. We had that omicron outbreak, that totally f-ed up all the plans. Anyway, we buy from the same source which is also based in Cape Town… He did recommend giving it a try as they had it markdown on the price. Guess it says a lot though, but I trust him.
We’re hoping for the best.
This is where we buy our seed, and I have never ever had issues before.
Note: Pre-Transplant I topped the Terple 3 times & the G6 once so far, coupled with LST, defoliating & Lolli-popping a few times before I transplanted. It’s been a while since I had time to post regularly. So I’m going to update with a quick walkthrough up until today! As best I can, lol. 2022-04-22T22:00:00Z - 2022/04/23
After removing the 10L bag, I use my spray bottle to moisten the sides of the coir slightly. I then sprinkle Mycorrhiza to assist in a speedily transplant recovery.
Almost time to install my trellis, need a little more training on the Jet Fuel. (Aiming for reproductive stage to start in 2 weeks) I know I wont fill it 100% but what the hell… lol
Thanks mr, It’s a quick update, and I wished to have added better & more detailed content.
But time hasn’t been on my side. Responsibilities always wasting our time & money, lmao!
I tried adding a video I took inside the tent, but will have to add to 3rd party site & link share I guess!!
Hey Guys, so I have ran into some difficulties regarding our power supplier. Due to the current situation we are facing in South Africa the power company “Eskom” does not have ample supply to provide constant electricity to our country anymore. This is very sad. So they implement a system called “loadshedding” where the cut off power supply in certain suburbs at certain times. This has got me in a complete and utter flat spin as I’m not always at home when this happens. The past 2 weeks have been immensely rough as we we’re scheduled for outages 3 times a day for 2,5 hour intervals. Between 02:00AM - 06:30 my tent’s power went off (depending on scheduled time). This has in fact caused some VPD problems ( I tried getting up every night, but I still have to get enough sleep for work ). As you can imagine, it sucks BIG TIME. I’ve done my best to keep at par & doctored where I could.
*Decreased Light Intensity (600W)
*Decreased Wind Velocity on canopy
Almost approaching the start of week 3.
Feeding schedule from 3 day interval - 2 day interval ( 2L per feed )
Selective defoliation to get light on lower tops.
Used some garden wire to support 2 main colas which we’re too high.
Note: Pest/Mould check done. Foliar sprayed with H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) @ coolest part of day
Next day applied high alkalinity ph’d water to kill mildew spores
Fan heater running from 03:30AM - 06:00AM, pulsing/regulating temp at 19-21°C [ until light comes on ]

Wasn’t available this week to tend to my garden. I asked my cousin to keep an eye on the plants. When I arrived yesterday morning I immediately noticed 3 aphids on the Terple Strain. So I sprayed them with Dish Washing Soap - Removed my trellis - Took them outside to be hosed off.
Nightmare! Sorry to hear that. Can you get a small jenny or maybe a battery bank to get you through the power cuts? Or just put them outside until you can get something sorted?
Where we live we have a diesel generator that switches on when the mains cuts out, its a real life saver, could not imagine trying to grow with 3x daily cuts.
It’s been quite a nightmare, there’s subtle signs off stress showing on the plants, but nothing I think beyond manageable. I’ve been so busy the last couple weeks, I didn’t have much time to spend gardening. Roads we’re busy, we’re at the end of our rainy season (work becomes a lot less and not as intense) so hopefully I’ll have a little more time on hand… I’ve taken some photos this afternoon. Will definitely share them tonight…
Thanks anyway for your message, it’s always appreciated when fellow growers really show compassion towards our people & their problems they may encounter. I always tell my co-workers at the office how difficult it can get as you spend months & months cultivating & caring for these plants. There’s everything to loose, lol. But only we ‘really’ know how difficult it actually is…
I do have a gasoline generator, which is on standby & wired up. But sometimes there’s nobody around to start the damn thing. And I’m scared my neighbour shoots me with a shotgun at the middle of the night Just kidding, his wife has been diagnosed with cancer last year & their bedroom window is just opposite the fence ( quite close to the generator) so I try and respect the communities “Peace”… There’s been times where I just didn’t have a choice, but he’s chilled. spoke to him last week…
For now I need some food, then a toke, quickly check the girls (lights out in 15min) before anything else.
Some days were twice a day only, at worst 3 times… This passing weekend again twice a day. The news is it’s going to get worse end June & July. Then we’re middle of winter & consumption goes way up. We hope for the best, it’s what you have to deal with living in a third world country I guess. I love it here, but it’s going to take more time to get these issues solved… urghh.
Thanks bro!! Much appreciated… Just trying to pay it forward, and share my experiences, as-well as the struggles throughout… I’ll definitely try and keep it rolling! lol
