Just ordered these!

Just ordered these, super excited to check them out and see what they can do! Not Air Pot brand, but we think they will do just fine! Do yall think they will work just as good? :thought_balloon:

$32.60 after tax, forgot to mention that!

Yup, they will work. I use the same. I also have the legit air-pot 3 gal and 5 gal. The Air-Pots are like 2x the quality, but at the end of the day, they both give the same results…

Yeah, for one 3 gallon air-pot, it was like $20+
I like to support good companies, but im just trying to get my feet wet!

How is watering with those types of pots? Im looking at all the holes and thinking it’s going to be a pain but would like the opinion of someone who has actually used them

From the videos ive seen, you just pour slow and let the medium absorb the water. But its designed to let it easily drain.

Im no pro, though.

I was looking at those pots, also looking at grassroots lined fabric bags. Another bag im looking at also is rain science pots. Its a plastic coated nylon weaved pot. Its interesting.

I have no issue, yes if you water fast, similar to fabric pots, water will tend to find its way to the sides. When I used to hand water, some water would pour out the holes on the side.

Now I use a drip irrigation ring, connected to a pump, connected to an interval timer. It turns on for 4 seconds every 4 minutes. So it is a nice perfect watering. I come back a few hours later to collect and measure the run off.

Thats an interesting set-up you got there. Are those zip ties for holding the pots shape?

The zip ties are for holding the metal support ring to the pot. Those pots are solid and hold their form.

Here is a better picture of the support ring.

Cool, cool, just heard of them and checked out their website. I would buy these over standard fabric pots, after reading their website.

The problem with fabric Grow pots are mold build up and root rot from the fabric staying wet The Wet material does not allow air to pass very freely. Our special mesh allows for better drainage than traditional grow bags. Rain Science Grow bags provide More stable root zone temperatures, Greatly improved drainage through the entire growbag and extra oxygen to the soil because of improved air flow through the fabric. This air flow facilitates a process called air root pruning, where the plant creates a bunch of tiny feeder roots which are better at absorbing nutirents, this in turn leads to increased plant growth.

Bottom water, you won’t have to worry about water running out of the holes.

Hi
I am a newbie here so huge gains of salt when reading my comments

I live in AZ, so warm and very dry. That alone brings all new issues for me.

I don’t think I need to worry about mildew or rot; have to work hard to have excess humidity at all. I have to have a humidifier in my shroom tent.

So, I found these on Amazon and love love them. I want to set them up with a reservoir and drip into these for continuous watering.

They hold 1.5 gallons and can be used for multiple sizes of fabric pots. ~50$ on Amazon for four. AC infinity product.

If I was growing indoors I would definitely get them, cause sometimes I’m to busy to water. Thanks for sharing

Yeah I love the support ring, easily attached to the pot with zip ties, and the ring can be raised or lowered as needed.

No, those are Yellow stick traps for fungus gnats. You should always have sticky traps, even if you don’t see any bugs, it is a good preventative measure as well as a good indicator if you have bugs.
