Is it normal to not have much smell at this stage??

yes. the girls don’t smell at that stage, at least in my experience. You are in early flower. wait till the colas swell and the white hairs start turning red.

Ah thanks. It’s My first so I’m leaning as I go.
My blueberry autos started smelling before even forming prebuds like that. But every strain is different, you could have a low odor strain growing too, or it could start slowly smelling as buds and terpenes form further.
My glue gelato auto is stinkin! Im 8 weeks in, not flowering yet, ive added a mini plug in ozone generator to my lung room(wardrobe) seems to be helping to at least reduce overall smell

It can be better to have less smell in your tent, I think. Remember, terpenes are volatile organic compounds that vaporize into the air. So if you’re smelling the terp molecules, that means whatever is in the air isn’t on your plant to enjoy later. Same reason why a bag of dank in your pocket all day smells amazing

I was tempted to put the ozone generator in the tent, but being in a 2x2 i think (based on research, i have adhd so i tend to deep dive subjects that are of interest) it might be to much for my girl and end up doing more harm than good. But it does help with the over all smell. Does a smelly plant mean its loosing turps, or is it just a bi product of growing?

You are right to skip the ozone generator, that’s not going to do anything positive besides deal with any lingering bacteria. The list of negatives and hazards however is fairy long lol. Im sure you can find something else you are missing for your set up for the same money that will help more. With the terps if you can smell it as soon as you open the tent it means they definitely are essentially burning up into the air usually due to higher temperatures than what the plant wants, its a defence mechanism to make them smell unappealing when something is stressing them basically. If the smell is really strong try dropping the temps a little bit if can because like @Graywave said whatever is in the air is no longer in the plant.
