Lollipopping

I have a simple question that I am having a hard time finding the answer for. When you lollipop starting into your flowering stage on photo. Plants do you like doing the lollipopping all in one stage or all at once on a plant. Or will you do the process over several days to help with the stress on the plant?

Welcome and nice that you found your way here.

Like everyone else here, I can only speak for myself.

I do it all in one go.
Then the plant only has stress once and not new wounds every 2 days that need to be closed.

Additionally, I find this to be the most nerve-wracking work of the entire run. For my part, I probably still don’t remove enough.

As an example:

I see it the same way, everything at once to save the plant continuous stress. The plant will have recovered from it after a week. The first time one week before you switch to flowering and the second time after 21 days of flowering when the stretch is over. Keep in mind at what distance from the light good flowers still grow and remove everything below it.

Explained very quickly and simply!
Leave three or four nodes from the top, and from there down, strip the branches bare so that all the energy goes upwards.
And do this in one go to avoid continuous stress.
Welcome and have fun growing, wishes Pflanzenpaule

I lollipop the bottom 3rd of the plant a week before flip and then clean up anything I may have missed on day 21. I don’t like big stress to happen during bud development.

I would like to say to everyone a very big thank you for taking the time to reply to my message and offering to help. Often or other forms my questions go unanswered unless they are a very simple subject. Once again thank you to everyone. I believe I have found me a new home to hang out so to speak. Over the last year or so I have been getting into breeding some and a question often arises on the subject. That is like taboo on many forums not too many people are able to help. I only get on the internet once or twice a week but I look forward to helping where I can and getting involved with your site. I would start me a grow journal but I feel as if I am a little far into this cycle but I will catch you on the next. I’ve always got a large tent of automatics and photo periods going at the same time once again thank you

This is what we strive for. I’m really happy you like it here, we like having you here. This is by far the best place I’ve found as well. People here just love watching other people succeed. Can’t wait to see your grow log sound like you have an amazing setup.

Does it ever come a time in your growing where you are pleased? By this I mean you don’t have this little echo in the back thinking well if I add just a few more feet and a couple more light bars lol

Every single harvest I wonder what another upgrade would bring to the table. My next addition is going to be under canopy lighting. I’m never satisfied tbh, I know I’m good at what I do but I always want to be better. The only time I’m satisfied is when Google photos shows me grows from years ago. Then I see the progress I’ve made and I’m satisfied for a brief moment.

It doesn’t matter how far down the rabbit hole you go, you will always find another passage going deeper lol. After a while turning back would take longer than digging out the other side.

Must be a quote from Alice in Wonderland.

It’s so true :joy:
We’ll never get out of the basement again.

Let’s be honest, who’d want to leave now? I’ve barely got the plants growing and I’m already thinking about what I’ll do differently next time.

I am running several different lights I am running the AC Infinity commercial light which I keep cranked down to about 50% it’s owes me about $500 PFFD on my canopies I plan on getting another one extending my tent another 5 ft at between groves this time. In my automatic tent I am running several different types of Mars lights they are on a dimmer the PPFD is the same as my large tent I expect to extend this one another 4 ft to give me an even grow space and apply two bar lights to this one. I also have a 3x3 what I call my seed tent this is where I do all my seed in breeding and crossbreeding. It has one Mars light. I’m in the process now of stepping up to new school I am building a hydroponic cloner out of one of my 17 gallon moonshine barrels for my cloning. To keep from doing it the old-fashioned way lol. I’m enjoying this site very much for the simple reason I can educate myself more along the way God knows we all never quit learning or never need to
