Hello everyone, typically i don’t have a problem figuring out the gender of my plants, but this one sure stumped me. The strain im growing is Raspberry Parfait (Fem) or so I thought and thats what brings me here. They seemed to be female then i topped them 5 weeks after germination and boom, little ball sacks formed. Im hoping someone has any type of explanation that could hwlp me underatand what happened
From RoyalQueenSeeds: Feminized cannabis seeds are genetically engineered to only become female plants, and they almost always (99.9%) do so.
This means that in each 1000 seeds, 1 will be male. Maybe that’s just your luck, but it might be too early to tell if the plant is female.
I would contact them and let them know. They will probably give you a list of causes on your part. But they need to know
@Bentgenetics @dxn_gwj my guess is the plant was a hermie when the seeds were taken, my question now would be, if these two plants i have are hermies, is it worth growing? Would it produce good flower with some seeds? Or just toss and start new?
It sucks, but start over. The time to waste isn’t worth it. Then you have the problem with pollen everywhere.
Honestly? I’d start over with a nice seed from a reputable bank.
Hermies might produce good offspring and amazing qualities, but unless it’s from a specific genetic you’re trying to save, i can’t see why grew it. It’ll be less potent and with lots of seeds amongst the buds.
Thanks boys, pitching the Raspberry Parfait now that was a old strain from my old cannabis growing carreer, on tl the next harvest Supas Cookies a cross between Girl Scout Cookies × Circus Animal Cookies by 808 genetics
I had 3 clone sisters. all went into flower way early. growing outside too ? then all 3 turned hermie. wtf ! it had to be something I did. I googled. stripped off all the male parts I could find and then moved them away from the others. far away. what happens, happens but all 3 were looking to good to just dispose. I’ll just chalk it up to a learning experience
