Maximizing 2x4 space, Please Help

Also found out u can get teens shipped to your door nationwide, prob like $100-$120, but it’s a 18-24” tall plant, so mama plant can come in every 3 days and just take a tone of cuttings. Not tryna be a smartsss at all but like it’s a cool thing and if your close you could try to buy a teen for like $40-$60.

And I’d likely try to figure out a tight rotation of mothers, or create a mother tent, or if I get enough I may look into attempting living tissue culture, to keep multiple genetics alive for months without overgrowing my space. But for now I could try ordering a teen/mom (lol), and cutting close to maximize yield. But you r right, and I got a perpetual going on so that dryback in SEVERE, I already know it lol, so I gotta do both speed and yield if possible, I’m loving the help tho.

If you’re going true organic cloning can be a bit more difficult as Clonex and other rooting hormones are not usable in an organic grow . . . maybe go with fresh Aloe gel.

As for hydroponics vs organics . . . the plants uptake the exact same elements, no more no less regardless of the source. It seems odd to me that anyone thinks feeding the soil is superior to feeding the plants a nutrient solution that is tuned to the plant’s needs for each stage of growth.

I know that if you’ve bought into the hype and think organics grow better plants nothing I say will help . . . it’s like buying Great Value milk or paying almost double for brand name . . . there isn’t any difference in the milk. I worked in a dairy and I know for a fact the milk is the same . . . we stopped bottling long enough to change labels but it was the same milk going to market under a different brand. But I know people who will argue tooth and nail that the brand name milk tastes better.

If you’re wanting multiple strains and considering keeping mothers look into grafting. You can graft multiple strains onto a single rootstock. I’ve seen 7 strains on one plant before and I managed 3 back when I kept mothers. I had more success with a cleft graft or whip and tongue but there are other methods.

You can also clone by air-layering but this is more time consuming and I only had success with it on bigger vegging plants.

I don’t know beans about the tissue culture thing . . . but it is interesting.

I still take clones regularly but gave up on mothers . . . I like growing a variety of strains for personal use and that means starting new seeds or buying clones.

Oh No no, it’s not hype, genuinely. I have been growing for a few years and have just noticed that I do seem to get just a bit better terps from organic, more specifically it’s the living part. But see I do agree it’s not as crazy as people try to make it out to. They are both giving plants exactly what they need.

Idk I definetly need to do more research myself. But I just wonder how the microbiome in the coco or soil could change or enhance mute the terpenes. Because I have no disagreement that hydro can possibly give you higher thc that organic. But idk tbh, cause I’ve thought about trying to use natural terpenes inside of my soil to see if I could alter the taste of the pheno from a clone to get a good result that’s reliable. I have noticed going from soil to coco I have enjoyed the flower more and have had less issues but hydro compared to soil style, there’s still a lot more research that need to be done.

When it comes to to growing the plant and giving it nutrients for growth there is no difference, I’ve worked in a Aquaponics facility before and I’ve see how amazing hydroponics is. But I do think that the resin itself may be somewhat different hat the root, leaf, and flower growth itself. I have honestly been thinking of doing a middle ground of trying to do mothers in hydro, perhaps clones in the future, and possibly veg, my big thing is organic in flowering specifically. But idk could just be in my head. I’d need to go buy some high end hydroponics, ya know not just some stuff that works but is properly tuned, like some proper homegrown hydro.

Like I said tho it’s just specifically about the terpenes, thc I know can be the same if not possibly higher in hydro and speed in definerly faster and more vigorous (which is why it would make most sense for cloning And veg). And if I am going against the full organic vibe, but I’ve tried rooting powders before and yeah I should try aloe gel, but I’m ok with using some bottled stuff or synthetic or semi synthetic. Like bushdoctor’s Calmag, and also the cloned cause I just got that. i wanna only use non organics that I sort of need to in the moment. So if it’s really finding a balance between the 2 cause hey both have crazy pros and cons, and they would be amazing to use together.

Woah, I never even thought about using my old rootball, flushing it, maybe giving it recharger, and grafting on multiple cuttings. That’s works? I mean if i don’t see why it wouldn’t but… that works? It would be cool.

I’ve thought about air layering and have come across the same issues I need to let it veg for a while and get pretty big and by that point I could’ve just attempted cloning again.

And I agreed buying many seeds is what I’m doing rn but I’m not getting everything as uniform as I could be, so I’m thinking about ordering a teen clone to my state and just taking a BUNCH of clones at once.

Reverse it and put the filter on the exhaust side still works the same.

I thought that’s what the like cotton filter on the outside was for, to extend the life of your fan, and take the dirt and other stuff out. But ngl u right if i may have to deal with a slightly shorter fan life if I wanna be able to have that height and extra yield and so my plants aren’t running into the light.

This is a definite space saver . . . adding a foam pre-filter to the fan intake increases the life of your carbon filter. When I grew in tents and did this I took the pre-filter off the canister and clamped it over the fan intake

So just like throw a flat one or something across the intake side in replacement of carbon filter that’s inside and flip the carbon filter to outside?

That’s it . . . remove the canister pre-filter, it isn’t needed in this configuration.

$2 air conditioner foam filter and a rubber band, tape or clamp works like a charm on the intake side of your fan
