Hello, I am new to the subject of growing cannabis. I have 4 plants that are now 2 weeks old and they look and feel very healthy. They are also already bigger for their age than on various photos on the internet. I grow in a standard grow box.
Now I have the following problem. I had also had tomatoes in the box until just now but unfortunately I did not yet get to transplant them into a real pot. They have been in a cardboard pot and since the water could not run off, waterlogging has formed. As a result, mold has now developed on the cardboard pots. Now I have removed them completely and carefully examined the cannabis plants.
There is no sign that they have what got off. The roots and soil are completely fine, but this is probably also due to the fact that I have watered them only lightly and the water could run off.
My question is now whether I should disinfect the box to be on the safe side or that is not necessary, since the plants are apparently not affected.
If so, is a normal alcohol-based disinfectant enough or should I use something else because of the materials?
Thank you already for the answers
