Hey guys, this is second grow ever and my first time using grow dots by real growers, I’m watering around every 4-5 days, allowing dry back in between. I also got a second light as I think my 1st grow really struggled due to the light not being strong enough. The strain is chocolate zkittlez by dr krippling. vegged for 6 weeks, starting the mainline around week 3.
Im in a loft space so by mainlining and training I’ve managed to have tops either side of the roof joyce.
She’s now day21 of flower and after watching a Scotty real video I’ve decide to do a heavy heavy defoliation of the big fan leaves in hope that it encourages bud and sugar leaf growth . Ppfd is running high at around 8-900 but until I see signs of distress I’m gonna keep on running it high. Will do another update in 2 weeks

Love that little setup! You sound like you’ve got a pretty good hang of it. That ppfd is good in flower, Training looks good. Honestly, I would just do a light lollipop on this. Your plant isn’t crazy bushy so you wouldn’t wanna remove too many fan leaves in my opinion. I’m sure some of the pros will chime in soon but those are my thoughts!

After looking again, you’re training is so well done that you don’t need a big f21 defoliation. I would only remove any fan leaves that are blocking bud sites to be honest

Thank you very much. The last picture is after I removed the biggest fan leaves so I’ve already trimmed off everything I’m going to. Are my buds about right for 21 days? They are already way better than my first grow at day 21. Thanks again

Day 21 of flower is where you want to do one last heavy defoliation as your stretch is pretty much over by then. The way you trained, you don’t really need that tho as your plant was well manicured and not a bunch of foliage. Looks pretty sweet for your first grow, that’s for sure!

Thank you very much. It’s actually my second but the first didn’t go too great.. I’ve been watching and reading a lot and putting what I’ve learnt into this grow.

This is the right place to be then. I just started growing 2 or so years ago and couldn’t have done it without all the awesome people here. I also love YouTube university and to a lesser extent ChatGPT. If you use Chat, make sure to double check any info it gives you tho lol
