Hi my name is Brittney, I just started recently growing and I’m really getting into it. They’re the seeds that I’ve been finding in my dispensary weed and saving them over the years. But i decided to grow them, but every time I start to grow them they end up dying. I can successfully germinate the seeds and plant them but they get to week 3 and they start to wilt and they die. The first tree died and now my second tree is dying. I noticed that there are little bugs in their soil and they can fly but they were going under the soil too so I think they are killing my plant. I have other plants (not Cannabis) also and they are in the soil in them too. I’m not sure what to do but I really just want to be able to have a successful grow. Any advice.? And next time I’m growing indoors!! I gotta get the supplies but I’d rather do that than outdoor. Because with these plants I had, I’d bring them out when the sun comes out and bring them in once it gets dark. Maybe that’s wrong but idk I need help lol
Hello Brittney,
and welcome to the comunity
do you have any pics?it’s hard to diagnostic without?!
This bugs are mostly in soil, even my growtent is full of them, get some yellotwraps, so they stick on them.
But i don’t think that they are the Problem.
They die both in week 3, it’s for the most Plants the beginning of the Vegetation.
What kind of soil do you get? Could be that there are’nt enough nutriens.
But keep on…
Happy Growin🥦
Welcome to the community @Brittney and sorry to hear about your struggles starting off but you will be able to get lots of help and great info hear as for your issue like @Growstarter40 suggested a few pics and little more info will help. I noticed you have other plants growing in same soil as the reefer plants are they being planted directly into ground or in pots? If in ground could be lack of nutes the cannabis plants need and/or those other plants (if mature enough) might be robbing all the nutes and water in that area and may need to distance them if possible. If growing in pots youll just want 1 cannabis plant per pot and prefferably a 10 gallon or higher pot size for photo outdoor plants to help prevent risk of root bound from to small a pot.
As for bugs youll see them fairly often in your outdoor grow area and having some organic pesticide like neem oil will help combat the douchebag pests i prefer outdoor growing and mother nature does a grear job with pest managment but ill still use neem oil as a soil drench to help with anything lingering in the soil.
Also you said you bring them in and out which isnt an issue but not needed unless your unable to keep it away from any lights that may prevent plants from sleeping or shit like motion lights that may turn on and interupt plants sleep which could cause them to hermaphidite once in flowering but if you dont have any light issues over night feel free to leave plant out itll do just fine. Hope this helps a little and any questions you have dont hesitate to ask us
look thru the grow logs of successful harvests with lots of info. you might be over watering or a number of things to have the plant die at week three. Dispensary seeds are junk. That is definitely your first problem. I was going to take my plants outside in the sun until I realized that I was going to be bringing in more bugs. I am already fighting fungus gnats with nematodes, sticky traps and (water, apple cider vinegar and dish soap mixture).
