I would transplant into a party cup. I wouldn’t give any nutes until you have a 3 fingered leaf and then only (0-1-1) root promoter along with Endo-Mycorrhizae. Hopefully your using a good potting mix that has organic nutrients.
Your going to need 1500 watts for a 25’ foot room.
Your tent looks great, it looks like you were probably able to tie into the laundry exhaust vent?
The dome should come off as soon as they sprout, the seedlings like a different humidity than than the seeds that are germinating, so it is not too early for that.
When you say transplant from the EasyPlug, I assume that means just moving the plug into it’s new home, not extracting the seed from pot? I actually made the mistake on my very first seed, I tried to remove it from the germination cube and it killed the poor thing.
Nute usage will depend on the soil you are using. If you have any mycorrhizae it is great stuff and the right time to add it.
Yes, I have connected the extractor to the laundry exhaust vent.
Exactly, just going to remove the EasyPlug from the small plastic holder, and insert it into the substrate.
I have the impression the EasyPlug is drying very fast in the tent. Temperature is around 26.5 when lights are running and humidity in the low 40% (data from NetAtmo below).
I have transplanted 2 into pots, and the third one that I thought was not going to make it seems like it has recovered and will be transplanted in a couple of days.
Due to the low RH I have ordered a humidifier and should install tonight.
Questions:
1- how far should I keep the lights from the plants?
2- I have started to use those sticky yellow cards for fungus gnats (already had them previously in the house - I have a ton of other plants)… what works best against them? Diatomaceous earth?
Link to the growlog is now working and there are some pictures there.
Hey @Gulcavelk, welcome to the Community!
I came in a little late to the replies.
30cm is good since you’re using led lights. Or you can place your hand on the top of the plant and leave it there under the lights for 5 to 6 seconds. If you think that heat is too much for your hand, then it is for your plant too.
If you’re using the mobile version then there are some issues that we need to fix. But you should be able to post the link of your Growlog using the desktop version. Also same issue with the upload of pictures.
I’m using BioBizz too, the tripac. Although it’s recommended to use the light mix doses.
Immediately after lowering the lights the temperature and humidity have been affected…
I bought a humidifier which is helping, just curious about how expensive my energy bill will become with all those things running 18h a day
I realize I did some mistakes which are probably part of the learning curve… Should have added more earth to the pots I placed the EasyPlugs, and had added less water on my first time - hopefully will not result in root rot.
The seed that I thought had not popped was actually growing inside the EasyPlug and has made a great recovery so far (many pictures on my grow log), will be repotted Thursday morning.
I started to use Fish Mix in the two bigger seedlings (this stuff feels/smells like liquid shit), will switch to Bio Grow once the vegetative phase starts.
Sounds good. Not adding enough soil or to the top of the pot is a common mistake, don’t worry about it, they look good. About the energy, can’t really tell, here in Buenos Aires is kinda cheap.
