Black widow… indoors. I have spider mites being kept at bay with ladybugs. Do I wash the buds pre harvest or post since there are bug poops etc on them? In NYS so humidity is higher than ideal. Thanks for the help!
I’ve never washed my weed personally but I believe you can chop the plant and dip in the cleaning solution. I vaguely remember seeing something like this on YouTube

Hi @Songfemme , depending on the severity of the issue.
I happened to clean a plant a few months ago that was a mess, a lot of bugs, I counted 3 different bugs.
We have no other option than to wash the buds. We harvest, and then each individual branch was washed.
I gotta say that soaking the branches in a bucket of water won’t do much, I recommend you if you’re taking this way, have gloves and then with a hoe and pressure, not THAT much pressure, clean the most you can.
Some bugs will still be there after it, but I believe you can take a big %.
