If you can control the urge to overwater the seedling, you can plant it in right away. You’ll have to watch you don’t drown them when you water (or think you need to water). Water sparingly until the seedlings have started to grow. Then you can weigh your pots when dry then again after you water. Those are your benchmarks for watering.
Your pot size seems fine for your grow area and yes, you want to do LST on your plants early on to maximize efficient use of your space. Have you considered a net? That may be more convenient.
Thank you for answering . I grow in a grow cabinet so I have hard time to use a net.
Can I use biobizz all mix soil when I transfer the seedling to final container? Starting the seed in root riot. Or should I plant the root riot in a small pot with light mix until it’s bigger.
Starting in Root Riot should be easier. Water lightly and when you do start feeding nutrients, you can follow manufacturer’s guidelines but for seedlings, I usually just start the plants with 1/4-1/2 the suggested dosage.
Either way will work. Some prefer to see roots coming out of the Root Riot before transplanting while others prefer to plant the germinated seed directly into the final pot. If this is your first time ever, I would recommend using just the Root Riot. It is easier to monitor your watering practices.
Don’t be shy to ask questions. This is a reason these forums exist. Post some pics when you get going.
Thank you so much I planted 2 seeds in root riots and one seed in a pot with light mix soil. I have put them in my propagator under my hps now. Should I have the hood on for greater moisture?
Light is not that important until they have sprouted. Keep them in a warm draft free place and dome them up until they sprout. Once they sprout, you can safely remove the dome off.
Your HPS may be too much for seedlings unless you can dim them or place the light as high up as you can. Sprouts don’t need too much light, you could even harm them. What sort of ventilation do you have in place? May not be critical now but once you start using that HPS full blast, it could overheat your closet easily. Better to have things planned ahead while waiting for them to sprout.
Very nice! Didn’t realize you were talking about a complete kit. I miss using my 600w HID but I just couldn’t deal with the heat. That kit looks like it can grow some delicious buds. Keep us posted on your grow.

11l smartpots will do the job and 250w hps should be more than enough for 2 plants.
I recommend you to do less to none lst training being your first grow, it usually takes one or two to start the lst training, you can stress the plant a little bit much. A net will be safer and easier to manipulate for sure.
I’m in to truble now. My 250w hps was way to hot and the seedlings where exposed to a temp of 33 degrees and pretty low rh%. I tried to correct the rh but didn’t have a good mister.
I have now bought a cheep grow led instead 150w from hydromars and corrected the rh to about 60% and a temp of 24 on the day 20 at night. But my seedlings have been stunned in growth. Is there something I can do?
Are they going to survive? It’s been 11 days since i put the seeds in water and germinate them. 2 of them are still only 2 leafs and the 3 have developed the characteristic leaf but still really small.
They are not looking that bad for being in a 33° environment with low rh%.
Don’t use any nutrients, just water if you can rested water. And put the light a little farther to the plants so they strech and grow. Give it a day or 2 and see how it develops.
Cover the main stem a little more, I see in the 2nd photo that the roots are near to be exposed to the lights.
