Nutrient problems

I fed my girls some nutrients last night the readings were: PH 6.5, EC 1.1, PPM 550, and the temperature was 72F. They are in 3 gal fabric pots at 5 weeks from seed. Fed until runoff took some readings from it.
They were: PH 6.0, EC 2.7, PPM 1360 and temperature was at 65 F. EC and PPM way off the chart is this because of the soil that I use (FFOF) has enough nutrients already in there??? So should I use just PH adjusted water next feeding then take readings from that???

How old is the soil? I think ocean forest last at least 4 to 6 weeks for nutrients

ya if the ppm is that high i would say your soil has too many nutrients in it. i would give it some ph adjusted straight water for a day or 2. and re check the ppm from the run off. are you using r.o water? or tap water? whats your ppm before adding nutrients?

About 150 -160

A little over 5 weeks or so

Ocean Forest has all natural nutrients. You can’t burn your plants with organic. I’m using the same soil. My plants are 8 weeks old and I’m adding about 1300 ppm of Success Nutrients weekly. The run off will be different also because I believe the soil ph is around 5.8-6.0 to start with. I wouldn’t worry about it. Just continue to ph your water at 6.5. If your concerned you can flush with pure water. The soil has enough nutes to finish the plant as long as you repot when necessary. I have some Widow in their 6th week of flowering that get over 2000 ppm of nutes.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking I was doing some experiments to see what numbers I would get with 1/4 strength of nutrients so now I know so I’ll be using PH adjusted water and keep an eye out
