I’m leech, 36 years young, and I discovered this hobby for myself a little while ago. When it comes to growing, I’m still a total beginner 
.
Since November, my first grow has been running in a tent (I have a 70x70x160 Spider Farmer complete set), but last year I also tried growing four plants on my balcony (not all at once). That didn’t go too well, though. 
Two of them got powdery mildew (I had to throw away about half of one, and the other one didn’t yield much either), one never even made it out of the soil (even though the seed had germinated and was open), and the last one weirdly got spider mites—while none of the others did… 
No idea where they came from.
Aside from that, I tried growing a couple of times back in my youth—you probably know how that goes. 
It was actually a small success back then (the plants were healthy and strong). I even have some old photos somewhere; I could dig them up and upload them here if anyone wants to see them.
While I use the GwJ app to document my grow, I also keep my own handwritten notebook, which I turn into a PDF once it’s full so I have a digital copy. It’s filling up nicely, and I think I’ve found a pretty cool system for writing it all down. I’d be happy to share it at some point if there’s any interest.
