I guess I’m about to tell my age but does anyone remember the old school what we called back in the 70s and 80s Red Hair sinsemilla? I know sinsemilla means female with no seeds. That stuff would not only give you couch lock but put you through the couch. Lol. Or maybe it was because that was the strongest at the time. The best weed came from an old man that lived down on the river in basically a shack but that man could grow some weed. I remember it smelled like pine and stunk to high heaven even in a sealed bag. He had some strain I guess that had a shorter growing period because he grew in the mountains and cold weather came in September.

Could have been. Idk. Wish I could find out. Old man Bronson died years ago and took his secrets with him. I know several old timers that could grow some powerful stuff. I used to do roofing with a Vietnam Vet that grew the best Afghan I ever smoked. Ahhh the good old days. 16, pretty girls, beer, white liquor, and good weed.
Sounds interesting! I think there aren’t many old timers on this platform, so finding someone who smoked in 70’s will be tough. I’m 40 and was born in ‘82 and never heard of "sinsemilla’ but again I grew up in Ukraine and came to the states at 14 years old in 1997 and I used to help older guys collect weed from fields and we used to undress and run through weed field until our skin was dark dark green color, then we’d stand on top of a drop cloth or a newspapers and start rolling it off your skin and everything would fall on the newspaper and then you collect it and make it into a ball. Then couple days later it dries and becomes hard and it’s pure cannabis. You take a razor blade and shave off some shavings off of that ball and mix it with a little tobacco and put it into one cigarette and six to eight people would get high off of that one cigarette, that’s how strong it was. And yes I did smoke when I was 12, 13, and 14 years old because of my older brother lol. I would take one sometimes two tokes and I would get so freaking high, that all the guys would have a blast from just watching me be so high lol
Where I’m getting at is we used to use specific names for different types of weed but it was in Russian so I’m not sure if “sinsemilla” was one of them but in Russian. In Ukraine everybody speaks three languages, it’s mandatory in school to take three languages. Ukrainian is the first language you absolutely have to learn, then Russian is another a must-language to learn and then a choice of any foreign language and I chose English because we had relatives living here since 1968 and it paid off because in 1997 we moved to New York

Sinsemilla is just seedless bud, nothing special like a strain. Back then weed was known to be very seedy because of the pollen getting chucked around. Genetics has come a very long way and much stronger than probably the strongest strains back then.
Now that’s something I’ve never heard of. That’s freaking fantastic. We used to run naked through a field but it was because we smoked some first. Just follow along behind the little animals. Lmao
