I am growing in soil if my pH level is low what solution can I buy to put in the soil to balance out the pH levels for my plants please help with this question.
If you don’t have a growlog please answer these questions.
What strain are you growing? Is it Auto, Fem or Reg?
Are you growing Indoor or outdoor?
Are you using nutrients? Which ones? How much?
If you are using a good potting soil, such as FFOF the ph is going to be 5.8-6.0 if I recall. It’s what I am using, and I ph my purified water to 6.5; it’s all good. If you are using some other type of soil, I would want to make sure the ph is somewhere between 5.8-7.0. If you need to raise the ph of your soil you will need lime. Once mixed in it will take two weeks to adjust. This will be a trial and error situation- time consuming. Buy good potting mix.
I’m growing my first plant ever and keep seeing PH mentioned. I have access to 3 sources of water…well , softened well and RO. All of them are between 6.0-6.5 . I tested water from the catch tray after going through the soil and got around 6.2.
Is this good?
Do I need to check the soil itself?
Did I test the soil PH by testing the catch tray run off?
I don’t have a digital for the soil itself yet for more accurate measurements. Im using liquid testing and only got increments of .5 and a color range…I’ve been testing water for years with aquariums and haven’t had a problem there but that’s just water and live aquatic plants.
