Hey all! Im planning my next grow but im specifically looking for strains that are better for relaxing and sleep! Preferably not a high thc strain as i get the shakes and racing heart! So let me here about Your favorite strains!
Anything indica will help with sleep. Sativas are more known for the anxiety and racing hearts
This is very interesting because the strain im on just now is upstate t26 kush cookies, it was recommended by the pharmacy dude as being relaxing and for sleep BUT its mental strong for me, does relax but there is definitely no sedation, my last night strain was the glue gelato that i grew, phenomenal relaxing and uplifting high and it finished off we my eyelids feeling like i was dangling bowling balls from them, the other strain :pineapple god, has a mellow high zero sedation both are listed as hybrids
One of the ones i did recently was some 100% indica Afghan Kush, one of the 3 was ready a good 2 weeks before the others in the tent so it was left to over ripen by a good amount. That particular plant is like a sleeping tablet for me. Its so effective I have been considering doing another run of it and intentionally leaving them all go that far again.
Black lime kush had a nice relaxing effect and not wicked potent to where ya cant do shit lol but super mellow and was an easy grow
Northern Lights is about the most sedative strain I have grown to date. Listen to Crackadoo. Let your indica mature a little further than you are used to.
Im liking the sound of this! Now to buy! Auto or photo? I’ve not done a photo yet perhaps its time to take the plunge!
You will probably get mixed responses to that question but personally im a photoperiod kind of guy. I can do what I want with less restrictions on stress and training, im working on my timeline not the plants and maybe most importantly because I like to experiment i have the option of recovery time if i mess something up or it doesn’t go how i planned it. That’s just my two cents though.
Photos are way easier than autos. Take the plunge!
I started with autos and they are stressful. Photos, not so much. There might be the slight extra work of changing the light cycle, but that is easy.
I suggest you give them a try.
Im definitely going to! So far the two plants ive grown have been pretty easy, so looking forward to the photo
One strain that truly captured my attention was Bazooka Joe Bubblegum, also affectionately known as Indiana Bubble Gum. Its vibrant flavors and nostalgic essence make every experience feel like a delightful throwback to childhood moments spent savoring sweet gum!
I shall add to the list! I think theres somthing wrong we me tho, when i open a back or jar and smell my buds i can smell them, but i cant taste all these amazing flavours everyone talks about, sad times
A lot of times it comes down to the drying and curing phase which is crucial for the overall profile of the plant and the environment in which plant was grown can play a role on which terps express themselves more than the others but if your able to get slow dry 7-10 days that will help have a better profile than say a 3-5 day dry and then a giving some curing time it will really lock in those flavors and smells
I managed to nail the environment specs maintained around or just above 18 degrees and on average 55/60% RH, would have dips in the night but have a wee, week heater that bumps the temp around 5 degrees so for me was perfect for overnight. I let her hang for 10 days before jarring and day two now of being in jars and rh had never exceeded 62% so i think im onto a winner here for my dry and cure. Honestly you guys have been great!
This includes medical bud i get from the pharmacy! All tastes the same to me, slightly weedy but no flavours of cookies, gas, sweets just weedy lol
Thats pretty much same here in the dispensaries unless your paying top dollar for the “craft bud” all the bud has this synthetic taste to it almost and doesn’t really differ in smell when compared to others. And the cheap $2 prerolls and $50 bags of 1oz shake/trim taste like the shit has been thrown on the floor stepped on by every employee and then swept up and packaged for sale so for me growing it myself just seems way better all around
My first recommendation is InHouse genetics jelly Breath S1
This has become my favorite strain. Slight gas, HEAVY fruit
Square one genetics Nana Glue.
Is my 2nd. I’ve grown this several times and it was my favorite until I ran the jelly Breath.
