Scrog and lights

Hello there, I am Scroggins my girls today, getting ready to switch to flowering a couple of weeks. I’ve got 2 blueberry two white widow and they have been doing really good with branch training up to this point. I noticed on my first plant I scrooge that the branches now seem flimsy. We moved our lights all the way up but I’m worried they arebgoing to start reaching. Should I still be leaving my lights at 18 to 24inches above the top canopy? Once I start flowering I will put an additional scrog up for additional support for buds. Thanks in advance for your advice I’ve attached a pic from a few days prior to scrog. Thank you.

@JillyN636, I would check to manufactures booklet that came with the lights to see what kind of distance you need for veg state but about 18 inches from the tops sounds about right. It looks like you still have quite a bit of room for them to stretch but if your in fear of running out of room you could always try to slow the stretch down doing these things- 1: don’t just flip straight to 11 hours of light reduce the amount of light slowly by 2 hours every 3 days until you get down to 12 hours(never tried it but it’s supposed to minimize stretching) 2: on day 21 you can do a mass defoliation of med-large fan leaves (and or lollipop) and it will put the plants in a slight shock and reduce flowering stretch for a few days. 3: and lastly you can super crop the tallest tops during mid stretch. And once you flip to flower your going to want to bring the light down some too. My gelato stretched about 8 inches in the first 3 weeks of flower and ended up being about 24 inches tall when I harvested it, but I topped it multiple times and faned out all branches and tied them down quite a bit too
