I feel like we all have thought this question before and had a hard time finding an answer. I wanted to bring it to here and see what the community can figure out. So once you flush your plant, and I’m having a nutrients issue so it’s not for harvest I know to do a final flush and just water at the end. But if it’s in veg and has to be flushed, should I use just plain ph’d water or should you add nutrients in? And if you add nutrients what ppm level of nutrients will you give it and what nutrients would you add (macro and micro try to be specific for the best answers with the community). When flushing what do you believe the best PH is? Different times can of course imply different Ph but I want to hear from you guys. Please share your winsome with me.
I flush for nute issues and I ph the water to the same I’ve been using as that’s what the plant is now accustomed to. After the flush I feed 1/4 dose of what I had been using to get her back on track. Typically I don’t feed that until the pot has dried back from the flush. I feel this gives the plant some down time to recover from the lockout. Hope that helps answer your questions a bit. Happy growing!
I wouldnt do any heavy flushing its unnecessary. It will deplete the soil & disturb the roots. If a plant is experiencing nute burn Id simply back off the nutrients. Feed plain water with a pH between 6.5-6.8 for the next 2-3 waterings. Remove any affected leaves beforehand so I can monitor the healthy growth to see if any further nute burn persist.
If the plant bounces back Ill then introduce nutrients back into the plants reigment starting at low dose. Something like a 1/4 tsp of Micro & Bloom.
My best advice ro give about feeding plants is its easier to to fix a plant thats deficient than to fix one that has gone toxic.
